Vieste is an amazing place with an extremely interesting Old City. The restaurants are super, with Ristorante Donlu being one of the best dining experiences we've had in 5 decades of visiting Italy. We had an indoor window seat with spectacular cliffside views, the sound of waves below and soft jazz in the room. The service and all aspects of the meal were perfect. Vieste is really interesting and pretty old town and the people are friendly. Good standard of restaurants and not overpriced. There's a port where we hired a boat or you can get a boat trip. Some parts are very steep but worth walking up for the views. We stayed on the beach, a 25 min walk in along the beach but worth it or there's a bus for 2 euros p.p Would definitely recommend it :)Guest review byJonnyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

After spending 3 weeks in Puglia in late September and finding a lot of the cafes bars and restaurants frustratingly closed it was lovely to have a bustling city with beach. Vieste is a great town.
Vieste is a great town. The old town is very lively at night and there are views galore from everywhere. There are several good restaurants in town. We ate at one near the port and one in the middle of the old town. It is well worth the trouble to get to the Gargano region of Puglia the scenery is spectacular. If you are interested in nature and hiking this is the place to be. We were in Vieste for three days and that was perfect.
We were in Vieste for three days and that was perfect. All of the restaurants we visited were outstanding - Lido Vesta, Al Duomo, and Al Dragone. All three were elite for Italy. There is also an excellent wine bar near Al Duomo. The Sea Cave tour is also a must. Vieste is the best place to vacation in Italy. Very convenient, excellent beach, great vibrant town at night with excellent restaurants reservations rarely required. I've been all over Italy and Vieste is my favourite beach town.Guest review byJohnCanada

Though small, each feature of this renovated former gelato bar was done with thoughtful design and attention to detail. The roof top terrace was an absolute stand out. We spent our evenings and early mornings here taking in the views and planning our daily activities. The owners were warm , welcoming and greeted us with lovely home made biscuits.
