When you imagine that you travel to a friends who lives at the village in Europe, what would you expect? Probably village life, which is different than the one in the city. What would you expect when you travel to desert? Probably much less confortable place than you can find here at MalakoRum. Very confortable rooms, european type of toilet, hot shower (we vere there just at the end of calendar year - so in winter time). Wow and such delicious dinner freshly cooked by the hosts. The stay for us was like visiting friends who moved to desert to farm there. So we expected animals around, and we loved it. When you see beduins next the desert streets they have also animals around. So the experience from the desert life was way more much authentic then the games played to tourist elsevere. We expected and loved that touch of authenticity. Jo was very kind all the time to explain all the things we were curious about - desert life,geology, history etc. and she turn to be very rich well of knowledge. She offered us a hiking tour in the mountains around and it was unexpectedly experience with a little climbing at the top of near hill top with wonderful view. Jafar may seem to be harsh and bitter, as the desert fruit are, on the first glance. But when you let to know him a little bit more you will find the cool and broad hearted man you can love. We had four-wheeler car so we wanted to travel more in desert, but without any experience of desert ride. Jo and Jafar helped us to plan our little desert trip, just for the time we had. That trip was also wonderful experience which we would have not undergo without the help of our "desert" friends. Thank you for encouraging and helping.

The location was amazing right on the side of the desert. Amazing staff. Everybody so helpful. Provided us a great experience to take in the desert. Tour of the desert was amazing. We got to see all of Wadi Rum and take in the sunset. Took a sunset camel ride right from the igloo. The host is a local so knows all the ins and outs of the area. He is extremely honest and goes above and beyond for his guests. He recommended guides for us in Petra and arranged pickup. He even drove us to the Dead Sea (!). He was able to provide us local knowledge of the area and tell us stories from the area. HIs nephew gave us an amazing tour of the desert allowing us to take in the desert while enjoying tea and watching the sunset. Enjoyed shisha at night taking in the desert sky! Room was great. Perfect for a couple. Provides all the accommodations that you would need. The food was amazing providing all we could want, turkish coffee, bedouin tea, pasta, etc. The breakfast was great! A lot of the igloos in the area are far too numerous so you don't get any privacy at the various camp grounds in the area. Wild Oryx only has 4 igloos so you won't have to deal with a lot of people. This place really does go above and beyond for you! Definitely amazing!!!

Everything from A-Z was amazing! We arrived very late around 21.30, we got a very nice welcome at the parking by the guys who manage the parking and shop. The shuttle took us to the Hotel, and the receptionist Jacqline was extremely helpful in arranging our dinner late night and bookingof all our activities. We missed the star gazing session, but upon request they did a special session for our group! The next day we went for an absolutely mind blowing sunrise camel ride where we did astonishingly beautiful photoshoot with the camel and sunrise,and later during the day we had a 3hr jeeps tour in the desert! The food was amazing with a good variety. The people were very friendly and welcoming. An environment to relax and cut off from the busy world and out of the routine! Totally worth the prices we paid for.

One of the best experiences I’ve ever had was at BUFO Camp in Wadi Rum. From the moment we arrived, Ibrahim welcomed us warmly with a big smile and made us feel right at home. I booked a 6-hour jeep tour, and it was absolutely amazing — we visited stunning natural sites, stopped at breathtaking spots, and enjoyed Bedouin tea and coffee right in the heart of the desert. After the tour, we returned to the camp where a delicious open buffet Bedouin dinner was waiting for us. The food was tasty and varied, and we relaxed in a cozy Bedouin setting under a sky full of stars. Honestly, everything exceeded my expectations — from the organization to the atmosphere. I highly recommend BUFO Camp to anyone visiting Wadi Rum. Huge thanks to Ibrahim and the whole team!
