An unforgettable experience — the traditional food, stay, and bath were incredible. The monk and his wife were amazing hosts. He gave us a full tour of Kuonji Temple and invited us to attend the morning ceremony, where we felt truly included. Highly recommended — we would love to come back!

The location is essential to this hotel. It makes it a bit pricy but worth to visit and enjoy the nature. Especially watch Fuji mountain on the beds through the landscape sized window.

A beautiful and relaxing location, just right next to the shores of Lake Motosu. Dinner and breakfast buffets included & offered a lot of delicious choices with an excellent view of Mt. Fuji.

Perfect place! Lovely family hosting a nice, big and convenient guesthouse near Fuji

Due to an error in Google Maps' vehicle information, we found out there were no cars available to return to the hotel. We faced a 3-hour walk from Asama Shrine to Shiraito Park, mostly uphill with barely any streetlights. Just when we were on the verge of breaking down and feeling helpless, the host kindly drove to pick us up and brought us back to the hotel. Without her help, we would’ve had to walk the entire way 😭😭😭. On top of that, the hotel’s environment is fantastic—stepping out the door, you’re greeted by a lovely garden, and just a few steps away is the stunning Shiraito Waterfall. It’s absolutely worth the long journey!

I found this homestay looking for a nice place near Mount Fuji at a cheap price, where I could admire the mountain and go on excursions in the surrounding area. I found everything here:) Both the place and the family that runs it are very nice. When you arrive at the station the hostess can pick you up in her car for a very affordable price. It is a very simple guest house with no frills, but it offers everything that the traveler needs, at a very reasonable price. Keep in mind that they also offer one free meal a day, whether lunch or dinner. In this sense, it surprised me. pleasantly, because I told them that I was vegetarian and they made an effort to cook something different and delicious every day, I’m very grateful for that. The accommodation itself has a restaurant with exquisite and carefully prepared dishes. The majestic Fuji is right above, you can see it when you leave the accommodation and walk a few steps, you can take beautiful photos. 20 meters from the rooms there is a very beautiful small waterfall and a stream over which the path runs to Take the bus to visit the town of Fujinomiya, it is located about 15 minutes walk along a beautiful path that runs through a forest and areas of more rural Japan. The bus will leave you in Fujinomiya in about 20 minutes, there you will find the Mount Fuji World Heritage Center, a modern facility where you will learn everything about Mount Fuji. Right next door are some food stalls where they offer the famous Fujinomiya Yakisoba and two steps away is the Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine. There is another beautiful excursion to visit Shiraito Falls. there are much more things to do, for example visit some of the Onsen in the area, just ask to your hostess. The accommodation has only been on Booking.com for a very short time, previously they only hosted local people, so they will appreciate your advice to improve the service and its facilities. In short, a great base for visiting Fuji and its surroundings.
