Spacious rooms for Japan standards! It is in a quiet/non busy area which we appreciated. There were free amenities and drinks in the lobby, they even served free flowing wine on Christmas Day. 7Eleven, Family Mart, Lawson, and Sukiya were all within walking distance. We likewise walked around 15-20mins to Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori, enjoyed the leisurely stroll. Easy to call for taxi or Uber in front of hotel.

Beautiful, clean, modern, perfectly located next to Hommachi station with 3 connecting lines. Excellent service from the staff, shoutout to Khadka who went way out of his way to help us with some luggage we left in our previous accomodations. Helping us with the arrangements and communicating with the previous hotel for us. Highly recommend Cordia!

FAQs about hotels in Osaka

A Stronghold of Japanese Culture

At the meeting point of river and sea, huge Osaka combines forward-thinking development and sure-footed tradition. This is symbolised in its temple-like, 16th century castle, guarded by ramparts and enlivened by vibrant spring cherry blossom. Dominating the surrounding skyline is Osaka Business Park, a reminder of the city’s strong role in the Japanese economy.

However, the most striking skyscraper is the Umeda Sky Building - 2 towers connected by a rooftop terrace offering far-reaching views. The nearby Osaka and Umeda train stations are linked by underground shopping centres, while the shops of Shinsaibashi’s America Village appeal to a younger crowd. Dōtonbori’s neon lights promote more shops, as well as restaurants considered the best in Osaka. In a city touted as Japan’s culinary capital, that’s quite an accolade.

The Tsūtenkaku tower overlooks Tennōji Park, home of the Osaka Municipal Museum of Art. Another nearby park houses Shitennō-ji, one of Japan’s oldest Buddhist temples.

The Kyocera Dome Osaka is a shrine of baseball, and more thrills are at waterfront Universal Studios Japan, the country’s 2nd largest theme park. Also by the sea is Kansai International Airport, on its own artificial island.

The capsule hotel was invented in Osaka, and alongside this type of accommodation, Booking.com also offers luxury hotels with pools, cheap hostels and traditional ryokans.

We stayed at Osaka Namba, to easily travel to Universal Studios and Nara Deer Park. The city itself was great to explore, busy, without feeling overwhelming. The shopping district in the train subway is excellent. Lots of choices for dining and quirky speciality outlets.

I liked Osaka very much, I know that some people do not like it or do not find it special enough, but I liked it a lot. It is very different from Kyoto and it also differs from Tokyo, it has different vibes, lots of nice shops, great cheap restaurants, special temples around and more. Definitely worth visiting for 2-3 days.

If you like city life hustling and bustling, this isbthe place for you. From shopping in Umeda at Hankyu dept store, herbis and many others to go; great food and cafes, Osaka castle is a must to go. However if you prefer the mountain view, stay in Nara area. Mt. Kongo and Akama 48 waterfalls are great place to hike. Minoh falls north of Osaka is also only 1hr away by train. Kuromon is a smaller fish market compared to Tsukijiri in Tokyo. Overall, it is a good experience for me in Osaka

Osaka is great because there are tons of cultural activities and sights available. Plus, it's the culinary nexus of Japan--"the nation's kitchen," as is often said there. Whether it's museums or nightlife, you can find endless things to do. What's more, the people there are some of the kindest and most laid-back in the country. I highly recommend Osaka as a destination.

Osaka is very crowded.

Osaka is very crowded. If you like pushing and shoving it maybe for you. There are some good attractions there, but they are so overcrowded with tourists you have to wait for hours to get in. The railway stations are a nightmare and a labyrinth of walkways. Go to the tourist information counter and they are eager to help. Cost of tourist attractions are very expensive here, but you can see similar castles forts and temples for far less out of the city.

We took the airport limousine bus from Kansei Airport and the bus stops about a 3 min walk away from the hotel. It is also a very short walk to the Osaka station. A few eateries nearby. Easy ride to Tennoji and Namba Station to visit Dotonbori area. The staff were very hospitable. They helped us get one of our bags delivered to our hotel in Tokyo as we couldn't take it on the bus to Takayama. The room is small but just enough for 2. Very clean and everything worked fine-no sound from traffic, AC, neighbours etc. Comfortable bed.

Location is perfect: Close to JR Namba and Dotonbori (around a 5 minute walk to either). Many options to eat nearby, as well as shops, konbinis and other stores. Breakfast was tasty; although it offers limited options to choose from, they were delicious. Room was a decent size in comparison to a standard Japanese hotel room. Mini fridge worked. Hotel was cheap, taking into account that it's in the heart of Shinsaibashi and that Osaka's hotels (in comparison to Tokyo's) are rather on the expensive side (dunno why).

close proximity to things to do in central Osaka. Spacious property compared to others in Osaka - especially compared to hotels. This has everything we needed and the train station is a 5min walk away (to get to the platform!). I know there were others there but we never ran into any other guests, only the staff, who were so lovely when we greeted them. We are already planning our next Japan trip and will stay here when we next visit Osaka.

The location cannot be beat. It’s literally a step away from Dotonbori, and very well connected with the rest of Osaka with Namba Station a few minutes walk away. The room was reasonably large for what I booked, and I especially loved the shower which had a very large space, entirely separate from the toilet, with a bath and stand up shower - a first that I’ve seen in Japan where hotel bathrooms can be a little cramped.
