One of my favorite ski resorts in all of Japan is in Otari!!
One of my favorite ski resorts in all of Japan is in Otari!! Tsugaike Kogen. Gorgeous nature, awesome slopes, lots of shops nearby and the ski resort's infrastructure is great!! It is a small village.
It is a small village. There are only a few restaurants to choose from, so if you stayed here a week you would need a car or to take a taxi to eat at some new restaurants. It is close to the Taugaike gondola. We liked skiing Tsugaike and Iwatake because there were nice long runs without moguls connected to high speed lifts. I might stay in Exholand or near Happo-One and then plan on busing to either of these resorts. I’m an intermediate skier, but older and do not care for mogul skiing or real extreme conditions.Guest review byQuinn

The rooms are huge - very generous size. Buffet breakfast and. dinner are well worth the price, great selection of food and drink. Luggage lockers/ski storage is available prior to checking in: JPY600 Ski lockers are only available once you have checked in (after 1500).
