It was very cold during our stay, so we didn't walk much.
It was very cold during our stay, so we didn't walk much. We mainly skied. The infrastructure is well developed, there are shops, saunas, swimming pools and cafes. The mountains are not very high, but there are many slopes for varied skiing. We use only Mona YongPyong slopes. The hotel was basic, room and bathroom were very small. The hotel staff were not very helpful in offering information about restaurants and cafes nearby. Spa and sauna are not included in the room price. The hotel is 1.5 km from downtown, so if you prefer to have some restaurant options stay elsewhere. The water park was not very big but it was good enough for family trip. I don't recommend it to young people who are expecting more exciting attractions. The pool bar was offering only few foods but it was interesting experience to eat and drink in the pool. Fantastic skiing slopes close by the hotel/resort location of Phoenix. Good and sufficient outdoor and indoor parking availability. A CU convenient shop in the hotel makes is easy to buy some small food or other necessities. The room view is excellent and a small terras allows some fresh airing. or cloth drying when needed. Sufficient ski equipment rental is available at hand, no need to bring anything. Renting and ticketing (RFID) is easy and convenient. The staff were friendly and helped us book taxis. Because the hotel is quite remote, it is helpful that there are restaurant and a convenience store in the basement. I got a package on booking which included skit rental, water park and some meals and drinks coupon. It was very pleasant from checking in to ski rental and water park. Everything was smoothly ran. Room is new so it's really nice. We had one of most enjoyable pasta at the Cafe at hotel lobby and we went back for more.
