Absolutely Outstanding Experience! Our stay at the Dormero Hotel in Sri Lanka was nothing short of amazing! The staff here is truly the best we have ever encountered – attentive, friendly, and always going above and beyond to ensure a perfect experience. The hotel itself is stunning, with a fantastic ambiance and exceptional hospitality. Without even asking, they graciously upgraded our room because there was availability – such a thoughtful gesture that made our trip even more special. Breakfast was an absolute highlight – delicious, varied, and beautifully presented. The top manager deserves special recognition for being incredibly kind, approachable, and helpful throughout our stay. Thank you, Dormero Hotel, for creating such unforgettable memories for us. We will definitely return and highly recommend it to everyone!

A very good breakfast with mixed Sri Lankan food and western toast . Very nice with fruit plate and exotic fresh juice , It was a good location in a calm street and took only a few minutes to walk to the beach and main street .

It was an absolute wonderful stay in your house. The breakfast was increadible, fresh juice every morning, fried eggs and lovely bread and a beautiful plate of wonderful fruits. The rooms were big and very confortable. The staff was very friendly If we come back to SL we will surely stay in Villa Kaya again

We liked the room and the view, the restaurants, the placement by the beach and the staff, all of the staff where exeptional, we had an extra connection with Benisha who fixed a birthdaycake and who we had good conversation with trough out the stay and Nuwan, the last night we had forgot to reserve a table and we wanted to sit outside, so he fixed us a table on the top restaurant with the menu from the ground floor restaurant, this was super service and top problemsolving, made our last dinner memorable. It’s a lovely family run hotel. The room was not fancy but it was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. Everyone is friendly. There’s lots of loungers on the beach. The beach directly in front is too rough for swimming or snorkelling. It’d be perfect if you’re a surfer- but if you want to swim it’s a little bit of a walk past turtle beach to the swimming area. And then if you walk a bit further, there’s a beautiful reef to snorkel at. I think this was my favourite out of all the hotels that I stayed at in Sri Lanka.

I had such a great experience staying at this hotel. It is very newly built, so everything felt fresh and clean. The room was super spacious and really comfortable and had everything I needed, like tea/coffee making facilities, a mini fridge, and a safe locker. One of my favorite parts was the rooftop restaurant. The panoramic sea view from up there is absolutely stunning, especially at sunset it honestly felt like heaven. The food was delicious too, really exceeded my expectations. The staff were just lovely ,always helpful, attentive, and smiling. It really made the stay feel warm and welcoming. Definitely planning to come back again.

Very friendly and kind hosts. On my arrival, they picked me up from the train station though the room is in walking distance from the station. The room is spacious, new, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Walking distance from the main street with all the bustling city life nevertheless the room is very quite. Only a couple of minutes walking from the beach where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. Gaindu proposed many places to visit but unfortunately due to lack of time I didn't. Ambalangoda ended up to be one of the best places I visited in Sri Lanka and Sudu Colonial was one of the best places I stayed. Until my next visit I would highly recommend it.
