The location is a little interior, in a residential area, but not at all difficult to get to Hotel Road in Negombo Town. Plus this only adds to the charm and peace of the place. The rooms are tastefully decorated, they are very clean, very comfy and all the basics you will need are all in the room for you. The staff were extremely nice and incredibly helpful, Asiri in particular was always ready to bring you what you need at a drop of a hat, and Prasadini was always very accommodating with our requests. They go out of their way to make sure you are settled in and comfortable. What's special id that a range of travellers can enjoy the stay here. I saw tourist couples, groups of young adults and also families come here and seem to have an equally good time, without ever getting in each others way. The place was very quiet and relaxed. Its a lovely place if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Especially for families, i cannot recommend this place enough, the location is very secure and rooms placed in such a way that you have a view of the pool and your kids if they are playing in it at all times. The pool is cleaned in the morning, the eating areas are clean and spacious, and you can even enjoy a 1 and a half hour boat ride if you feel like it, which the cottage will happily arrange for you.

Staying at this budget-friendly hotel was a fantastic value for money. it more than compensates with its clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, The savings allowed me to enjoy other aspects of my trip. There are two cute puppies so adorable and playful and you must try the biriyani which was very delicious and special to me. The lovely couple (owners) from Europe were very friendly and helpful. The only issues i had there are flies while eating. I'd definitely return for an affordable and pleasant stay.

I stayed here 4 days after very long flights from the US to recover my sleep. Riverrina is a very quiet and peaceful place to relax. The swimming pool is large, clean and refreshing. There is lots of wildlife on the grounds--such a delight to wake up to the many birds singing. (Listen for the kookaburra!) Ask to look at the Dutch canal and the tree with bees! The staff is exceptional--they always appeared as soon as I came downstairs to see if I need anything. I loved the Sri Lankan breakfast that changes a bit everyday. There are many choices on the buffet. Everything is spotless and well-cared for. Although it is a bit far from the airport, I vote it a perfect place to recuperate from a long flight before experiencing this wonderful country.

We loved everything about this place. The staff is super kind. The breakfast was amazing. Our room was just perfect. They put a baby bed for us. Everything was clean. The bathroom was also super clean with a hot shower and high pressure. The location is also great ! Need I mention the pool ???

The rooms are designed to a very high spec, very clean and spacious. The property grounds are absolutely stunning, with an infinity pool that is so lovely and warm. The staff are very friendly and serve a beautiful breakfast, mix of Sri Lankan, continental and fresh fruit juice (recommend the passion fruit and mango juices). Location is very close to the centre of Negombo so easily accessible to the beach and shops.
