Kamal really put in the effort to make sure we had a nice stay. The room we stayed in was super tidy and perfect for our needs. We felt really welcomed, the highlight was the dinner they cooked us. We have been in sri lanka for 16 days, it's easily said that it was the nicest, authentic meal we've had so far. Would definitely stay again. 👌

The accommodation is wonderful, from its wild setting to the extremely welcoming hosts and the activities they offered (like swimming in a local, non-touristy mountain river and visiting the 'mini World's End'). The owners of this place are absolutely brilliant! They are so friendly and so knowledgeable! They used to be tourist guides and really know everything about the area and also about the Vedda community. I really enjoyed our conversations. Also the food was delicious!

This guesthouse, run by a couple, is about 1 km from the bus station. After checking in, I learned they have two separate buildings with rooms. The newer one looks decent, but I stayed in the older one. It’s very basic and somewhat clean, but the room is quite dated. There’s no Wi-Fi, the room is warm and hot without air conditioning, and the shower only has cold water. The electric fan is noisy, and sometimes bugs come into the room from outside. They provide mosquito coils, though. For such a low price, this is probably what you get. The couple is friendly and kind, clearly good people. They even helped me receive my courier delivery.

I’ve been traveling in Sri Lanka for three weeks, and Crown Regency is the best hotel I’ve stayed at. It’s not far from the bus station, with a market and supermarket nearby. The best part is you don’t need to worry about finding a restaurant—the rooftop restaurant’s food is incredibly delicious, and the breakfast is hearty. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is great, and locals often dine there too. I even met some friendly locals at the restaurant who took me around Badulla. The hotel is in a quiet alley with stunning mountain views, beautiful in both rain and shine. The price is very affordable, yet the service feels like a five-star hotel. Vinishya, in particular, went out of her way to show me a wedding venue hosted at the hotel. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable—I’d say cleaner than many four-star hotels. The air conditioning and fans work perfectly, and the hot water in the bathroom is reliable. The Wi-Fi is a bit unstable, but I managed fine with my phone’s network. I originally planned to stay one night but ended up staying three. Thank you, Crown Regency, for providing such high-quality accommodation for travelers. This is my honest review.

I liked many things about Nuga Retreat. First of all, the beautiful, natural surroundings with mountain views created a unique atmosphere of peace and relaxation.
