⭐ (10/10) Fetnale Retreat was simply unforgettable. Set in the mountains and jungle, it had the most breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. The service was the best we have ever experienced in any hotel, the food was exceptional, and the rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and perfectly maintained. Our guided walk to the waterfall was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Every detail was flawless—this is why it’s a perfect 10 from us.

Incredible comfort and hospitality. European perfect quality. Magic nature view, clean fresh water in swimming pool, tasty and variety food, comfortable bed, silence and quiet. Serenity Villa is amazing. The people will do anything they can to help, despite the language barrier. They were so helpful, friendly, attentive, kind and happy. They even helped to arrange a private Ayurvedic massage for my wife and I last the house. The property is nicely laid out, the garden well maintained and the food is fantastic (the owner is an experienced chef who worked in 5-star hotels for 20 years). We really enjoyed our stay at Serenity and if/when we come back to this part of the world, will eagerly stay here again. Highly recommend.

The location is simply amazing with a stunning view on a lake and mountains. Small team extremely dedicated to make your stay a pleasant one. Kudos to Thiloka for her patience and always smiling. Great breakfast and food, the best we had in Sri Lanka. Definitely a place we will remember.

We loved this place. The facilities were perfectly clean and the bed was very confortable. You also have a living room with sofa. The breakfast and the dinner were very good quality meals and very tasty. The staff even served us early so that we could leave for the day, they were very friendly and answering our questions and requests. We felt very welcomed. The owner was not here himself at this moment, however he always made himself present during the whole stay by whatsapp and was able to answer all our questions. He is a wildlife photographer so feel free to ask him if you are also interested in spotting fauna!! You can rent a scooter to the homestay. Thanks to the owner recommandations, we went to Dotalugala to hike a bit, and the view to get there during the scooter ride was magnificent. In a sunny days you can see the mountains. Always propre a raincoat as the weather changes unexpectedly. If you are brave enough, you can drive 3h to visit the village of Meemure, at the end of that same road. Driving there is so beautiful that time flies. It is easy to come from Kandy, go to the bus station and ask for Wegala, the destination is usually Hunnasgiriya or further.

We loved this accommodation. Located in Rangala and not far from the Knuckles Mountain Range, our room had a fantastic mountain view. The room was spacious and clean and the owner was very welcoming. There is a beer house downstairs which was a great way to meet some of the locals. The food we had for dinner and breakfast was excellent.
