We had a lovely stay at Jay’s. He is a great host and his sister is an excellent chef. They made us a great dinner and breakfast with vegetables from their own garden. We often read ‘the best curry’ in many reviews, but I can truly say that this where the best meals we had during our trip in Sri Lanka (and we had many good meals).

This fantastic hotel is set in the middle of nature. If you like seeing and hearing birds, then this place is great, with over 25 species in 1 night stay. The room was large, the linens were high quality, and it was all very clean. We had a kettle for making coffee, good AC, and fan. We had a room with a great view over the garden towards the lake. The owner, Chandana, was very friendly and spoke good English. The hotel is very well decorated and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting to watch the wildlife at sunset on the bench provided. The garden is also a haven for wildlife and has a lot of interesting trees. He provided us with the best Sri Lankan breakfast we have had in a month. It was outstanding, with some of it made by his wife. Him and his staff member were very kind to help us change the wheel on our tuktuk, too. A wonderful place to stay. We stayed for a halfway point between Kandy and Negombo

From the very first moment, we felt right at home. The hosts were incredibly caring and kind, making us feel like part of their family. Their warm welcome and continuous attentiveness made our stay truly special. One highlight was definitely the tour with the host (Rabi) to see the lorises. These fascinating creatures, which are hardly seen anywhere else in the world, left us completely enchanted. It was a wonderful experience that we highly recommend. Staff at this property truly go above and beyond for the customer to enjoy their stay and do so from the heart. Special thanks to our target shooting “coach”. We loved the rustic cottages, the garden, the facilities ( pool, badminton, playground, archery and target shooting) and the view of the waterfall. We had tea, dinner and breakfast and everything tasted great. Upon request, the staff took the trouble to go get a special treat that my husband wanted to taste. It appears that this new resort is very much interested in sustainability and integration in the local community. We loved our stay there and highly recommend it to all.

Beautiful nature, location in old Coconut estate, lot's of animals, including wild boars and hornbills. The nature however comes with a price - it's far from any settlement, so either opt in for their dinner (very tasty but paid extra) or eat on the way. The personnel was helpful, the pool was clean and accessible even late at night, there was a lot of extra facilities which we didn't use but they are there (pool, speakers, bar, hammock etc). The bed was equipped with big mosquito net. Also besides AC there is a ceiling fan, which some may prefer. We hope to come again one day for a longer stay.

The stay is in the middle of the jungle, and that’s what makes it very unique and appealing. The host grows many fruits and trees themselves which they use to prepare local/organic food. Very friendly host, thank you for the pleasant stay. We wish we could’ve stayed for a few more days.
