Beautiful, spacious and quiet hotel, all the details in furnishings seem right, you get the impression to be in someone’s actual house back in time. All staff is super friendly and attentive. Just a short walk from Galle centre, but in a very calm environment. Bonus: no plastic bottles, you get as much filtered water as you want.

From the moment I arrived the staff did an amazing job, nothing was any trouble and always a smile.. add to this an amazing building and decor you have an amazing hotel. I made the mistake of booking a place in the fort for the social aspect that was more expensive and half as nice in every department, probably forgo the 3 nights in the new place and return to Taavetti, you won't regret booking i promise you.

Couldn’t recommend this property more, 11/10. Justin and his team were fantastic with arranging all we needed, welcoming us, and going above and beyond with requests. Justin arranged a private cooking lesson for me with his chef which I would highly recommend. It is a small collection of private villas so there is complete peace and calm. The villas were luxurious and roomy for a couple and would definitely be a great place to stay for a family vacation. The food was by far the best and most authentic we had in Sri Lanka and outranked all other hotel food. Fresh fruit was amazing. The safari arranged by Wild Lotus was a stunning private experience to be remembered forever, with a comfortable Land Rover for the ride. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

It was right in Fort Galle a nice quiet area, we chose it for its proximity to the cricket ground but it's close to everything including walking around ramparts. The room was small but it was clean and modern. The best bit is the breakfast, it was scrumptious and it just kept coming... We didn't have to eat again until later in the day. Fab hotel highly recommended. Staff were great.

Location was excellent with all eateries at walking distance and sunset views right in front of property. Food was great and always on time. Service was unmatched, better than any 5-star. Rooms / bathrooms/ seating area were very comfortable, quiet and plush. Best sleep I’ve had on a holiday.
