Honestly, if we could give it 20 out of 10, we would! As for the one negative review we came across—it couldn’t be further from our experience and honestly came off as more laughable than legitimate. The main floor has a large common area with a sitting area, a fireplace a large dining table, and a kitchen. We were the only guests that evening, and they had the fireplace going for our arrival. We spent the evening by the fireplace. We had a large room with a double bed, a sitting area and ensuite bathroom with shower. We were very comfortable there. The surrounding area is quiet and peaceful. The hostess was very nice, friendly and helpful.

This 100 year old house is so neatly renovated our jaws dropped. Every little detail is excellent, starting from fantastic light system, vinyl record player 🤍🤌🏻, comfy beds, smart kitchen cabinets, ending with such little details like baby wipes, baby shampoo (because we said we are coming with a little child). There is everything you need -a lot of kitchen utensils, 2 size towels, slippers, even children’s books for bedtime stories!! I could go on for an hour. And OUTDOORS - took our breath away. Sooo well-kept, clean and absolutely beautiful. This place is a Latvian heaven. I was SO sad we had to leave. I would really really love to go back there one day. It is so nice our friends started to look for a property with old house to renovate - they were SO inspired. If you are questioning it - don’t, just go and enjoy that absolute bliss in “Viļņi”. Also - Sabile and Kandava are very close, so there are a lot of things to do around there (and a lot of vine and cider to drink!) 😏 Cheers!
