We had a sunset tour on the camel organized from the Oases Tiloqui luxury Hotel, and it was great. From Zagora is 75 minutes by car to reach the location where you can also spend a night in the tents, that it can be quiet unique. We stay only for dinner after the camel tour. No decent size shops not even a proper supermarket eg Carrefour. Can be difficult if not speak French or Arabic . Lots of beggars and sad sights like a man scavenging in bins. Dry and hot and dusty. Zagora is the gate to the Sahara desert.
Zagora is the gate to the Sahara desert. The village itself has a lot of nice bars, restaurants and hotels, and is the starting point for guided tours in the desert, all or not on a dromedary, all or not with an overnight stay in tent camps, for 1 or more days. Next to that, Zagora has twice a week a very big local market (Wednesday and Sunday) that is a must to experience! Further down the N9 you can find the small town Tamegroute, famous for its artisanal green pottery. Also a must to stop there and see the 7 families at work outside.Guest review byLiesBelgium

Greeted with tea, dates and nuts while we checked in, then shown to a beautiful medium sized room with lovely bathroom. Great shower pressure and robes on the side, comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. The pool is a good size and there are lovely gardens. It is out of town so is beautifully quiet and sheltered us well from the winds and dust. The evening meal had good choices and was very tasty with excellent service. Our comfortable rooms, which were tastefully decorated, opened directly on to the pool area. The owners were lovely- very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great with lots of variety and the evening meal served on the roof terrace was amazing - so much food and so delicious!
