The park is stunning, with a lovely little playground at the water's edge. Despite some traffic noise from the nearby main road, the park setting feels close to nature - lots of birdsong abounds! The lodge is spacious, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. There isn't much in the way of shops and cafés in the immediate surroundings, but Vathorst train station with direct trains to various towns and cities is just a short walk away.

    The atmosphere of the lobby and the ground floor was nice. The bed was very comfortable, the linen and towels were clean. There are many parking lots for the hotel. I found teakettle and tea/coffee in the room, which was a kind idea. Hair dryer was available in the room such as a safe. There were many TV channels.

    The guest-friendly terms of the booking, the great service from the owners, the cleanliness of the room. One thing to be highlighted: the shower gel and shampoo (organic, olive-scented): probably the best I have had in hundreds of hotel stays.
