Walkable distance to Zaandam station. So the commute to Amsterdam central was super easy and efficient. The rooms were super nice and big. We got the rooms in the new block of the hotel. So everything was quite modern and neat. Comfy sofa and beds and clean toilets! Pretty good choice to stay and walkable to zaandam train station:

Wonderful stay at this hotel. Will book again. I've been upgrated so had a sauna in the bedroom. I would recommand to go there, easy access to go to Amsterdam by train (12min) and it's only 4 euros one way. Car park just 2 min walking distance from the hotel. Wellness very nice with swimming pool and fitness room

the room was perfect for 3 adults. there were complimentary coffee and tea bags. the hotel is about 5 mins walk to the zaandam station. we had our dinner in zaandam area which is about 10mins walk from the station and the hotel.

The suite was HUGE! I wish I could have stayed more than 1 night The bed was super comfortable and towels extra fluffy. The walk in rain shower is amazing and a lovely design. There was a large sitting area with window lounge overlooking the square . It is noisy facing onto all the bars and restaurants, but as soon as a closed with window it almost disappears. The fruit tea was delicious and the shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion all smell great! The conditioner even worked on my hair, which hotel products never do! The self check in wasn't working for the Monument Hotel so the staff had to assist 2 other people arriving first, there was a little wait but nothing major and the staff were very friendly.

    Zaandam is ok, it feels safe and looks nice. Our stay really started on a Sunday and nothing was open, bear this in mind if you stay at EasyHotel as there is nothing there either. Rail service is excellent and we had a super day at Zaanse schans.

    I was only there for one night, a guest at an event that...

    I was only there for one night, a guest at an event that took up most of my afternoon and evening. The stormy weather (5 August) wasn't ideal for spending time outdoors! However, on my previous trip in 2016, I visited Zaanse Schans: highly recommended for everyone.

    Despite being a small town, the train infrastructure is excellent, with a direct train from the airport to Zandaam. The charming alley of shops and cosy cafes further enhance the appeal of this delightful place.

    A great small city with amazing history and interesting...

    A great small city with amazing history and interesting architecture. A centre of the international maritime trade in cocoa and other items that made the Dutch Republic wealthy. And the religious history is fascinating as well. A quick train ride to Amsterdam .

    We travelled light with hand luggage only.

    We travelled light with hand luggage only. Having the hotel so close to the train station meant we could drop off our luggage and begin sightseeing straight away. When our planned flight home was rescheduled to be 4 hours late, the staff arranged for us to have access to the spa to relax while we waited for our flight. It was so convenient to get to Central Amsterdam; Schiphol Airport and the Windmill village by train. The trains were efficient reliable and staff at Schiphol advised for us to get a transport pass at the airport, which made unlimited travelling in zones, much cheaper. We just hopped on and off the trains all weekend! Another good thing was the hotel is situated at the end of Zaandam village, which has a variety of quality shops, cafes, restaurants and bars, right outside the door. It was so good for my 60th Birthday Celebration Weekend, my daughter is going for her 40th celebrations later in the year.

Central location within 15mins walk from Zaandam train station & frequent connections to Amsterdam (about 15min journey time for €3.30 Friendly staff. Free coffee/tea in the reception area. Good breakfast. Limited on-site parking - booking in advance needed. Close proximity to shops, restaurants and central Zaandam

    Zaandam is a great place to stay for a visit to Amsterdam, the hotel is quirky outside but disappointing inside. The room was clean and the aircon was a bonus as it was very hot but the room was extremely basic for the price. Most hotels in this price range offer a bottle of water at least but not this one

    Very nice hotel next to the train station. Taking the train to Amsterdam is very easy and fast. The hotel has its own parking. Nicely decorated and very good breakfast. The bar/bistro is very good. We had a bartender who spent a lot of effort to make cocktails. A pleasure to see a young kid so commited.
