Zandvoort was a good base with shops and restaurants. We visited the Circuit Park. We also enjoyed visiting Leiden by train and Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage site by car. Great location, lovely quiet town but has a few lively bars open until 3am if you want that. Stunning beach and great beach bars and restaurants. 15 mins on train to Haarlem and 30 mins on train to Amsterdam. Excellent location for families with wonderful amenities in the local town which is a 15 min walk. The beach is a 5 min walk, we went in December and this would be amazing in the summer months. Hotel is very well located, just a few steps from the railway station so that you may have not only nice stay in Zandvoort but also explore literally whichever place in the Netherlands you may think of . The room we stayed in was very cosy, perfectly equipped with all the necessary amenities and access to balcony. Easy to reach by public transportation. It's half hour by train from Amsterdam, and the train station in Zandvoort can be reached by foot. The room is clean and cozy.
