Good place near port, so you can be very quick on ferry, if you need to travel further. Also no problem to get to the airport by foot. Nice room, small, but what more do you need for one night? We would come again for sure.

    Bodø isnt a common or popular tourist destination for most visitors to Norway but it has a lot to offer, from restaurants, beaches, nature hikes and excursions, northern lights, and of course not to forget Saltstraumen. It is colder than other cities in Norway as it is the windiest city in Norway, so be prepared for that.

    We loved our stay in Bodø although we didn’t see much of the city itself. We hiked up Keiservarden, went to the Pust Sauna with a dip in the freezing ocean, went on a moose safari at night and ended our trip with a visit to the Luftfahrtmuseum.

    We didn’t stay long so I can’t really give a full review (we were just there one night en route to the Lofoten Islands). However it seemed like a lively port city. Lovely harbour with bars and outside seating and an interesting church.

    Bodo has much to offer visitors.

    Bodo has much to offer visitors. It has a convenient bus service. If you enjoy hiking and cycling there are many routes in and around the town. Take the 40 minute bus ride to the beautiful pink beach, Mjelle. Take your bicycle on the Moskenes ferry to Lofoten Island for the day. (pedestrians go for free) Don't just limit your visit to the marina. There is much more to see and do in Bodo.

    everything in walking distance is perfect. if you get tired, just hop on the the city bus for easy sightseeing. great shopping center and cute little places in the city too. if you need a break from walking and shopping, make a splash @ Nordlandsbadet :)

    I was here only one day and unfortunately during bad weather...

    I was here only one day and unfortunately during bad weather (not terrible rain, but very windy) but I still walked through the whole city and wish I had more time to go to the surrounding beaches and hiking trails. I had a great and affordable meal at tiger sushi - vegan sushi was available, and they also had a huge and impressive buffet for meat eaters!

    It was central to everything in Bodø and its surrounds. The staff were wonderful. The dinners were simple, but ample. The breakfasts were excellent and plentiful. We loved having the daily ‘coffee & cake’ time between 3pm - 5pm. We liked the little lounge areas, spread throughout the hotel.

    The city center location is great, in close walking distance to local cultural centers, cafes and restaurants, and right by the harbor. I also found the room decor very pleasant and much less institutional-like than many hotel rooms.

    Walking distance to many cafes and restaurants. Easy drive to take the car ferry to Lofoten Islands. Street parking is free between 16:00 and 08:00. Plenty of places in the hotel street. Great buffet breakfast.
