    Would highly recommend staying here although not in akaroa...

    Would highly recommend staying here although not in akaroa itself it’s only 5-10 minutes away. Lovely people who own it very lovely. Sat out in the morning on deck with coffee enjoying the view. Great unit wish we had stayed longer. Awesome place awesome hosts

    The view was great even from the ground floor.

    The view was great even from the ground floor. No air conditioning or fans or screens on the windows. Bed was ok, couch not that comfortable. TV was very small There was good free wifi Bathroom was fine. Only one type of tea and coffee.

    We visited in spring and everything was green, lush and stunning. So many great walking tracks and day trips around the Akaroa harbour. Barry's Bay Cheese Factory is a must to pick up everything you need for snacking platters = no cooking required here!!!

    When we arrived at the property, Deb the owner greeted us so...

    When we arrived at the property, Deb the owner greeted us so warmly. Unfortunately my wife had a knee injury which prevented her from climbing stairs, Deb made sure we had a ground floor room. The facilities were great, the room was immaculate and the view was outstanding! All in all we had a fabulous time at the apartment and would not hesitate to return and recommend to family and friends. Thank you Deb for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable.     It was dog friendly, lots of interesting walks around. Nice to see the sea, although its not a sandy beach, but it was still pleasant to wander around. Hotel serves good food Close to Akaroa abundant bird life

    able to take our dogs (which slept in the ute which they are...

    able to take our dogs (which slept in the ute which they are use to doing) and have the water just over the road from our room, could have taken chairs over and just sit there watching the day go by and seeing my fur kids having fun in the water, we had dinner in Akaroa not far to travel so this place is great to stay. Will be there again . We only stayed one night but next time will be longer so we can look around the area more.
