Best location next to center of town, the room was excellent and clean, nice view of the lake & the mountains, the commen kitchen is well organized and have all the equipment to make yourself breakfast. They have a list of movies to watch in the t.v ( you need to ask the reception), it was awesome!

    Very Pretty,lots of places to have a coffee or drinks,enjoyed a drink on the waterfront looking at a amazing view,also scenic drive to Lake Hawea and went as far as the lookout when the road takes you to top of Lake Wanaka.Would of loved to had more time to do some short walks.

    Wanaka is a great little town.

    Wanaka is a great little town. Primarily a stepping stone to the ski resorts. However we did not go the the resorts. We did do a day trip to Blue Pools and the nearby waterfalls (Thunder falls). the drive was scenic and the pools were well worth having a look at. Thunderfalls is certainly a photo spot as well. We circled back to wanaka and had a look at the Wanaka tree. Its a great picture just prior to sunset as the branches of the tree have and orangy color to them.

    We really enjoyed our brief visit in Wanaka with great places to eat for the whole family. The transport Museum was outstanding but allow at least half a day to spend there and also visit the nearby Puzzle Park for the kids

    Wanaka is a beautiful place, the magnificent scenery , ease...

    Wanaka is a beautiful place, the magnificent scenery , ease to get around and the variety of food options makes it a place to meet a variety of experiences. Cycling along the tracks looked like a exciting option for getting around. Puzzling World was a great family outing and is worth a visit. The illusion rooms are fun and the maze was a great fun challenge.

    Wanaka is stunning.

    Wanaka is stunning. We were there in Autumn and with the leaves changing colour it made for amazing photos. A visit to the Lake Wanaka for the world most photograph tree is a must. Puzzle World is fun and worth the visit. The Wanaka Lavender farm was beautiful and the farm animals is a plus.

    Has come of age in recent years.

    Has come of age in recent years. For older NZ’ers it offers a much more relaxed experience than nearby Queenstown and still has plenty to see and do. The approach from the West Coast through Mt Aspiring reserve can only be described as spectacular. In the fine weather exit over the Crown Range via Cardrona also fits this category.

    The hawea hotel room was very spacious. Our daughter enjoyed the upstairs bedroom whilst we stayed downstairs. Fantastic views of the lake. We dined at the restaurant for dinner. Fantastic food. Venison was delicious. Great customer service from the lad from the Netherlands, Kees. All staff at check in reception and the hotel were great. Beds were comfortable. Awesome place to stay on the way to travelling to the west coast. Would recommend to anyone. More peaceful than staying in busy Wanaka.

    We stayed in one of the one-bedroom apartments, the apartment itself was large, the bed/couch were very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice, particularly the shower. The apartment was very private and close to a patisserie, grocery store, pub, and laundromat (coin-operated, we were able to get change from hotel reception). The assigned parking was very helpful too.

    Fantastic apartment with wonderful views of Lake Wanaka. It has everything that you may need including a small kitchen. Noelene and Bob are wonderful hosts and couldn’t have been more helpful and the breakfast that they provided out most hotels to shame. We are considering moving into their apartment permanently it was so good. we will be back.

    The willows in wanaka is modern, just Excellent nothing less then good city hotel !!! Clean, tidy, self check in at 15:00, very good air condition. the Car close to the room, tv, Very good location close to lake. Good kitchen & facilities inc free laundry. comfortable bed and very nice room. Excellent value for money.
