We were checked in by the owners and given some milk for a welcome coffee. Great sized room with a little kitchenette. A nice, somewhat-private outside space with chairs and a table. Jacuzzi spa and a big, modern bathroom. Comfy king sized bed. Amazing location for a great price - especially over NYE!!

We had a fantastic relaxing stay, the bed was huge and comfortable, the rooms were huge and so clean. The outdoor private mini thermal baths really sealed the deal for us, the photos do not do the property or these baths justice, it is absolutely fabulous and we found it very romantic - but families or lone travellers would also love it. It was a very central location and we were able to conveniently park and charge our car outside our flat for free. The reception lady was so helpful, she helped us find a compatible car charger as ours didnt seem to fit their outdoor sockets, nothing was a problem for her and her upbeat pleasant attitude started our stay off on the right foot. I truely can't believe this place was as cheap as it was, it's an absolute steal! I would 100% go back and my fiance agrees with me completely. It was one of the highlights of our North New Zealand road trip in terms of lodging.

When we walked into this property, our jaws hit the floor. Our view was amazing and we will definitely be returning when we are back in NZ for at least 3 or 4 days. Such comfortable and relaxed accommodation we would be happy to just spend time at the accommodation all day! We spent most of our time out on the 2 balconies just sitting listening to the birds, the water and waving to people passing in an out of the Marina (the boats were very quiet and did not disturb us at all). Was close to everything we needed but also a little bit out of the way for a beautiful serine feeling. Check in was seamless, very easy and car park was close to our room. Beds were incredibly comfortable. We met the owners who were on site doing some things around the property, they were lovely and very helpful 😊

I had a nice one-night stay. Communication was quick and efficient, the room was comfortable and very clean, all looked very new. Nice bathroom and plenty of private parking space. Quiet residential area at the end of a cut-de-sac. No complaints whatsoever.

Taupo is much better visited outside of the busy periods (school holidays). When there's less traffic and you can get around without issue and finding a carpark is more likely. So much to see and do and many amazing restaurants. Wairakei is also only up the road and there are many geothermal attractions within a short driving distance.

Lots to do and plenty of cafes did not get in the outdoors much due to the weather but are coming back and expect to do some walks and cycling. Size of town means you can get what ever you need and there are number of different shops to find something different.

Not having a car meant I couldn't go outwith Taupo.

Not having a car meant I couldn't go outwith Taupo. The boat trip to see rhe Rock Carvings was well worth it. Haka Falls was walk able but due to the heavy rain I couldn't do it. The amount and choice of restaurants was amazing fir the size of Taupo and all value fir money.

A restaurant we often eat at had gone to the dogs to busy trying to fill al their tables and not concentrating on quality food. On the other hand the vinery is the place to eat diverse menu and small plates to choose excellent food there

Taupo has a lot to do in and around town.

Taupo has a lot to do in and around town. I like it there and it seems like there’s a lot of family activities. A lot of runners and cyclists. People were swimming in September when it was very brisk and windy outside. There are Hotpools - some of them are free on the side of the lake!

Trip on an electric sail boat to see the carvings was excellent. Walks around the lake and the food options in Taupo are very good. We saw some very large trout so fishing season would be a great option as well.

We had a family room, which although not what we needed was all that was available with our last minute booking. It had plenty of space for the 2 of us but may have been cramped for a family of 4, but I guess that applies to most motels. Everything was clean and tidy and the room facilities were more than enough for our 3 day stay. Although we were about 2.5km from the centre of Taupo we were only about 100m from the lake shore and the walk into Taupo could be easily made using the walkway along the lake shore. We did it a couple of times.

Large room with all amenities. Good location for those with a car. No breakfast, but there are restaurants and supermarkets nearby. It has a swimming pool. And a small heated pool whose major inconvenience is that you have to open the lid. Expensive for what it offers. There are several hotels nearby that are cheaper.

The hotel and grounds were lovely we were upgraded to a larger room than we had booked so that was nice the staff were very friendly and helpful the nicest we had encountered on our trip around the north island and of course Taupo and the lake are lovely even though it is a bit out of the way.

close proximity (walking distance) to the city centre, shops, restaurants and most important is just a walk away to the beautiful lake. The room----absolutely clean!!! from beddings to towels, great amenities just like staying in a hotel. i will definitely stay again when in Taupo.
