We stayed in cabin 28 and it was excellent. It was spotless and had a nice outside sitting area. Bed was comfortable and had a heated mattress cover if required. Furniture was comfortable. The bbq and kitchen facilities on site were well maintained. Everything was there snd in great condition. Close to groceries and vould walk to Caroline Beach (30 minutes). Wish we could have stayrd longer..

It's my favorite house we've ever lived in. I have to say it's dream house. The house is warm and beautifully furnished, the details of the decoration are well done, and the flowers also very beautiful. Male made a good breakfast, she is enthusiastic and tought us how to make bread. Highly recommend staying here! We'll stay here again if we come to New Zealand again.

This is a superb cottage close to one of the beaches in Timaru. The cottage is very well appointed, very spacious, and has everything we needed. The location is excellent, with a great sea view, and sunrise views, and it is very quiet and peaceful. We especially enjoyed the excellent shower and the fireplace!

Caroline Bay is a delight, and has been developed to be a destination for families in particular. There are a range of eateries to cater for different tastes and pockets! An interesting range of cultural attractions worth viewing too.

A pleasant town to visit with good restaurants and boutique shops. The Thai Sukhothai restaurant is one of the best in New Zealand. Bustling port exporting logs, cement and seafood. Good beaches are a runaway hit with young families.

Timaru is big enough to have a variety of shopping and things to do, especially if you are a first-time visitor. I go there occasionally for my work, but I enjoy walking around the central business area to look at the old buildings and long established businesses. There is a somewhat "comfortable/established" air about the place, that would have me happily relocating to live and work there permanently if my circumstances were different. The natural features of the countryside, wild eastern beaches and mountain foothills are all available with a hour or so by car. Worth exploring!

The first thing I want to mention is the Tesla charging...

The first thing I want to mention is the Tesla charging station. There is several charging terminals in Timaru which is very important for traveling in South Island by electric cars. We didn’t see penguins , seals and sea lions in Timaru because we didn’t have enough time to stay there and not very lucky. The sand in Caroline bay beach is very soft and clear. If you can come in summer, you can enjoy the beach walk and may luckily see penguins and seals in the evening on the beach.

We had a lovely time and being in timaru it is the starting point to other places close by oamaru dunedin Queenstown wanaka the beautiful pools in tekapo mount cook and so many adventures along the way oh and don't forget to visit the rainbow lolly factory in oamaru

The sculpture park was beautiful - very interesting to walk...

The sculpture park was beautiful - very interesting to walk around. We went to try and see the blue penguins at night but only one came ashore! The people in in the information centre were extremely helpful.

The property is well kept and welcoming with spacious car parking out the front. Our host was welcoming and shared local knowledge of penguin sightings to visit and good eateries nearby. Our room was very fresh looking, spacious and full of light and superbly clean. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. Easy walking access to Caroline Bay across the road. It was nice to have views across Caroline Bay and to be well back off the main road. The units are very quiet so have excellent window glazing.

Beautiful apartment in a lovely location overlooking Caroline Bay. It was very clean, wonderful comfy beds with luxury bedding, fantastically well equipped with everything we needed. The hosts were amazing. There are excellent restaurants a short walk away. We can highly recommend this place you wont be disappointed. 😃
