As all the other reviews state , the owner Ahmed is very obliging and a really nice guy.. He shared our meal with us and it was great talking to local who was born and raised in the village. It is a very old building that has all you need for a comfortable stay. the breakfast and dinner were tasty and plentiful and served on the terrace with an amazing view overlooking the valley and the palm trees. The premises is very close to the car parking area of the town making getting your luggage to and from the car a breeze. Be aware that most of the other accommodations in town are a fairly steep walk down into the "village " proper. getting to some of the other accommodation will require you to lift you bags as the paths are not even and have steps. The walks around town are stunning and if you have the time recommend a visit to Al Misfah

At home, all the details are thought out, very cozy and functional. the yard is planted with beautiful plants, a complete oasis. The location is strategically convenient if you want to explore Nizva, Misfat, Jebel Shams. Host Aziz is very caring and correct. We envy ourselves by choosing this place :) Thanks again to Aziz!!

A wonderful place with a wonderful host! This is our first time in Oman and we immediately came across such a wonderful place. Hamza immediately upon our arrival treated us with dates and traditional Omani coffee and also found a moment to talk to us. We felt like we were on vacation with family! The place itself is very interesting - the rooms are in a traditional style , kept impeccably clean. I would recommend it to anyone from the bottom of my heart!

All you can want out of a stay in the old part of Al Hamra, a superb mix between traditional and a modern touch. I highly recommend Mountain View for staying a few days in the area, it’s totally worth it, from the look and feel of the place, to the big terrace and the extremely friendly staff!

All super nice. Very beautiful building in the old town. Very friendly host who makes sure you feel home. There are two amazing dogs, the food is home cooked and incredible. You eat with the other guests and will get to know them

The inn was of mud brick and nicely decorated. Our room was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was lovely and hot. The location was great, near a deserted mud brick village and a date plantation. It was a short walk into town. From the Inn it’s a short drive to Misfah La Abriyyin, which is definitely worth a visit.

This is the place for those looking for something completely different from Kempinski ;-) An old Omani but renovated house with all the necessary amenities. Amazing atmosphere. Evening meal was quite good. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly, it was a great pleasure to be in this place :-) And don't forget to buy honey in the village, it is said to be the best honey in Oman! We forgot so we have to go back ;-)

I took a bed in a shared dormitory. Very comfortable, clean and big space there. The place also has a lovely sitting area and a kitchen. Everything so nice and clean. Mahmood, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful and we had along with other guests a really good time there. I would've definitely extended my stay if I had the chance but unfortunately I had to leave. Regarding rhe surroundings, so much to see and explore. And the area where the hostel is located is very peaceful and very close to the shops and restaurants
