I really enjoyed my stay in this accommodation in Jauja. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The shower had good, hot running water with good water pressure, which is not a given in all hotels in this area. But the greatest asset of Hotel Virrey is the family running it. These people are super friendly and accommodating. When we asked how to get to the city center from the hotel (which is a 10 min. walk), the owner offered to take us there by car and showed us the sights. When we needed a taxi to take us to Jauja airport next morning at 4.45 AM (!), the owner insisted that he take us there himself. So if you are looking for a nice, family-run place to stay in Jauja, I can really recommend this hotel

The resort is absolutely gorgeous with attention to details in every corner. Ada and her team are very caring and loving and you feel at home from the very first moment. The spacious room (sparklingly clean!) has a rustic-cabin vibes with a very comfy bed. The breakfast is so yumi with fresh local bread and juice; they also have menu and can cook vegetarian options (which it is highly appreciated here in the Central Andes). The cute animals (llamas, horse, dogs ..) bring even more love and live to the space and love to the space. I spent more than a week here and I will definitely come back! 100% recommended!

Very kind couple working at the hostel that helped me to find a car to thermal springs i wanted to go to. Unfortunately they were also a bit new to the area so they couldn't really give me personal recommendations. I could leave my stuff there for the whole day and was allowed to chill there in the common area for some hours to wait for my nightbus, very friendly and helpful!
