Absolutely fantastic experience at Casa Matara! I really can't say enough about how wonderful Casa Matara is. The decor is gorgeous. The rooms are well equipped with extremely comfortable beds and high quality linens. It's in the perfect location for exploring the entire city. As a solo female traveler I felt perfectly safe at all times. And last but certainly not least, the staff is absolutely wonderful, warm, caring and eager to help with anything at all. I was sick one of the days I stayed and they even checked on me. I will absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone I know travelling to Cusco.

Super nice place with such a lovely staff ! Especially Yoshi was so nice and gave me tips for my stay and what to do and to see! Great breakfast and very quiet even though it is 200 meters from the plaza de armas. Would absolutely recommend it!

You can geat early breakfast box if you have an activity early, the staff is wonderful. Sometimes they make dinner, like burgers or pizzas so it is very comfortable, you don’t need to go out and it is cheaper than eating outside hostel. It is a party hostel, but I slept very well, couldn’t hear any noise

This Blue Bird Hotel will get you out of your travel blues. Brand new family run property, very helpful owner Mr Darwin. Try early check in at 9am or late check out at 9pm in any hotel in the world and see how much they charge extra. But for Darwin, it was done with a smile and without any extra charges. Hotel has minimalistic approach, clean and fresh. Breakfast was good for my Vegetarian Choice. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms are clean with 24 hrs hot water. You can ask for room heater just in case you need it. Cocoa leaves tea is available 24/7 Do use the discounted and safe taxi services via hotel, you will save a lot. Lastly, Friends of cusco/Machupicchu is the tour agency I used which is just 300 meters from the hotel. Milton speaks fluent English and helped me with day tours and bus bookings with discounts. All the agencies suggested via Youtube charge more.

We stayed in Atoq 3 times during our trip and each stay was excellent. The receptions are friendly and empathic, and speak perfect English, in addition to Spanish. The hotel has a small cozy lobby where you can try coca leaves tea or buy hand made objects. The breakfast was fresh each time and delicious. The hotel is up the hill, so the view is spectacular. We would definitely stay here again
