General Luna is the most touristy part of Siargao. Lots of stores, shops, restaurants around. Easily walkable, but also accessible by tricycle/tuktuk. It's a bit too busy for me as I prefer more quiet and peaceful spot for accomodation. We stayed in the General Luna area and was a bit surprised to see how much trash and dirty areas were in the area. We were told to visit Cloud 9 and its nice for surfing, but dirty area, dirty restaurants, and very dirty streets. We stayed for 4 days and 4 nights. It was enough if you just want to explore the nearby spots, and go island hopping. But if you plan to really do a good long staycation, 4 days is not enough. There is still a lot we were not able to do. We both love the vibe of General Luna and Siargao as a whole. The room was spacious and super clean, and the bathroom was equally nice. The location is in the town centre as opposed to the tourist area, which we really liked but you do need to bike/tuktuk to get into the Cloud 9 surf area. It's just a few meters away from the busy streets of General Luna, but tucked away in a very quiet neighborhood! The whole hut was very clean including the bathroom, which was also super spacious.
