General Luna is the most touristy part of Siargao. Lots of stores, shops, restaurants around. Easily walkable, but also accessible by tricycle/tuktuk. It's a bit too busy for me as I prefer more quiet and peaceful spot for accomodation. We stayed in the General Luna area and was a bit surprised to see how much trash and dirty areas were in the area. We were told to visit Cloud 9 and its nice for surfing, but dirty area, dirty restaurants, and very dirty streets. We stayed for 4 days and 4 nights. It was enough if you just want to explore the nearby spots, and go island hopping. But if you plan to really do a good long staycation, 4 days is not enough. There is still a lot we were not able to do. We both love the vibe of General Luna and Siargao as a whole. The cottages are clean and air-conditioned. They also have a small safe, which is very useful. The staff was attentive and very friendly, and the owners are also very friendly. It's quiet, whether you're alone or with family. The highlight, I think, is the pool, which is very clean and pretty.
