The village (pronounced Ma-weh Chi-Ho for English speakers)...
The village (pronounced Ma-weh Chi-Ho for English speakers) means small and quiet in Polish and is a pleasant village with many rentals, but do make sure you catch it in the summer season (mid-September was too late for us, and most establishments were closed), or in the winter season if there is snow. The skiing area is small and the runs are all blue. The SkyWalk tower built on a small mountain above the village is a novel construction, and offers wonderful views of the valley and the Tatra mountains. It offers unique experiences, like walking on a semi-rigid plastic net, or standing on thick glass flooring 50 meters above the ground. Two metal tubes offer an exciting and rapid descent to the ground, while sitting on a mat. It looks more scary than it in fact is. Highly recommended. Duration of stay was too short (one night) in order to evaluate it properly. We came late night and left early morning. However, we could find a place for dinner, which has been great. Also, it is impossible to evaluate view, as it was rainy with clouds too low, so in the morning has been impossible to see anything.Guest review byJozefCzech Republic
