This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Every detail is exceptional. The location is absolutely perfect, the warm welcome included an optional glass of port, the room has everything you need including a big fridge and balcony, the friendly staff were so helpful, the breakfast is probably the best we have ever had at a hotel (it includes free breakfast champagne). Everything was amazing. Shout out to Pedro for the warm welcome. We will be back here for sure. 10/10

We received an amazing welcome from the staff, especially Beatriz who's been simply the best hostess ever. The hotel opened a week before we arrived so everything was spotless. The hotel is beautiful and nicely decorated, the atmosphere is ideal. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the spa, the breakfast was very good too. A perfect stay in Angra, thank you again Beatriz!

Hotel Monte Brasil is nicely situated in Angra do Heroísmo close to cafes, restaurants, and boutique shops. only a 3- 4 minute walk to the center of the city and botanical gardens, and ocean views a 10 minute walk to the beach. The hotel staff were friendly, pleasant, helpful, and informative. we enjoyed our stay and definitely will be returning guests for another stay at Hotel Monte Brasil when we return to this lovely Island of Terceira and Heritage City of Angra do Heroísmo We highly recommend Hotel Monte Brasil for the it's comfort, charm, location, and price.     Hilly nice little town with historical center and marina.

    Hilly nice little town with historical center and marina. Not easy to drive through and park, but excellent for walking. Not many souvenir shops, and lots of cheap Chinese fake products but comparing to other towns in Azores this one is quite big. Bars, restaurants and bistros are there but these are not the best, they are sufficient though. The natural reserve on peninsula with citadel and military base is extraordinary. Great view and experience, nice for picnic or hiking!

    This is a historic town with interesting architecture, cute stores, good restaurants and a beautiful park area where (out on the point) where you can walk. We thought it had a lot more interest than towns on San Miquel island.

    If you like a garden, a museum, a church, a fort or two etc...

    If you like a garden, a museum, a church, a fort or two etc sight seeing then spend a whole day in and around Angra town. Recommend walk round Monte Brasil close by its very interesting we took half a day walking it. Forget hiring a scooter to see the island we hired a car and spend a full long day driving clockwise round island exploring viewpoints, cave, cheese farm, wine museum, highest volcano mountain etc. Unique island cultural discoveries we made were were seeing cheerfully painted little holy trinity espirito house in every village and watch out for 'Tourada a corda' (bullfight by rope) runs test of manhood - this is big on Terceira. Charming unspoilt little island well worth visiting.

    Xhale Hotel is a fabulous boutique hotel on the water just 20 minutes from the airport. Room was spacious and modern. Oh! That shower. Breakfast was delicious and the underground spa was marvelous. Owners and staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our stay was absolutely wonderful.. Michael and Janis R.

    There is sooo much to see and do here, and the people, the views, the choices of restaurants, were A+++++. I Wish I could've stayed longer. I HEART/LOVE THE AZORES!!!!!! BEAUTIFUL and I Love the History and the Agriculture here.

    Angra do Heroísmo is one of the most beautiful and peaceful...

    Angra do Heroísmo is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have ever been. It is a great place to visit if you enjoy the outdoors, and the views of the ocean and volcanic rock formations are truly unforgettable. I really enjoyed Monte Brasil and I walked EVERYWHERE! There are great museums and churches to visit, and the botanical garden there is so pretty and restful. It is also a great place to visit if you have to budget a bit, as it is really reasonable, and all the restaurants serve delicious food and wine. Angra is extremely clean and there are nice shops and welcoming cafes as well. Everyone that I have met in Angra is so kind and helpful. It has captured my heart and I will continue to visit!

    We thought the hotel itself was really nice. Very new and very classy. Beautiful decor and absolutely lovely staff. The breakfast was incredible. The location is perfect for Angra and note there is free parking about 5minute walk from the hotel.
