Staying at Solar de Vila Meã was a beautiful experience from start to finish. The first thing that struck me was the setting — it’s absolutely stunning. Surrounded by vineyards and peaceful countryside, the entire property feels like a hidden retreat. Every view, whether from the room, the pool, or the garden, looked like a painting. There’s a real sense of calm and space here that’s hard to describe but easy to fall in love with. The restaurant, Barro, completely exceeded expectations. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely proud of what they serve, which made the whole experience even more special. If you’re looking for a place that combines natural beauty with exceptional food and a sense of quiet luxury, I couldn’t recommend Solar de Vila Meã more highly.

The location is excellent and the room was super. The king bed for 2 was nice but had a hump in the middle which meant using the middle of the bed for 2 persons a bit of a problem ( we like to sleep close together). Other than that small thing it was very good.

What an amazing hotel absolutely beautiful comfortable and the lady on reception and who took us to our room and served breakfast was just brilliant ! The breakfast was top notch and the bar next door to us was great we watched the Portugal match and we were made to feel so welcome by the bar man there !
