Excellent value for money. As temperatures were over 40 when we were there the small swimming pool was essential and most welcome. Room very clean and comfortable. The area is beautiful but be aware it is very remote and no restaurants or cafes or shops within walking distance.

Jorge and Fatima are such kind and generous hosts. The property is very well maintained and the rural environment makes for a very pleasant and serene change after city stays. The guests have 24 hour access to a kitchen which makes some self catering possible.

Everything about our stay was excellent! A 12/10 accommodation - in regard to everything from cleanliness, spaciousness, hosts' hospitality and the view from the rooms! Hiking trails start pretty much next to the house. The nearest grocery store was down the hill in Arouca, 15 minutes on foot from the house. The kitchen has absolutely everything you need to prepare dinner for your family after a day of hiking. Special thanks to the hosts (who live next door) for their attention, warmth, and care! Definitely revisiting if returning to Arouca.
