Higly reccomend. The place is tranquil. View form terrace is anbsolutely stunning (think photos don't reflect the view) with gentle sound of flowing water and crickets. Garden is full of hidden places to relaks. Place is super clean and functional, thought out down to the smallest details (eg. mosquito nets, shower, places to sit and relaks, beutiful garden). Kitchenette was the best we had so far- wide variety and good quality. Plus hosts are nice and helpful. It is 20-30 min to passadicos do paiva and arouca bridge.

Wonderful place, located on a mountain with amazing nature. Very secluded and private place with great facilities. The houses are beautifully designed and offer an ideal place for rest and recharge. Very friendly staff. Dialogues between nature and architecture are present throughout the region.

Loved everything about Casa de Baixo. We were late booking so not a lot of time to prepare, but our host send detailed instructions with pictures and videos. Loved that it had air conditioning. House was super clean tidy , modern on the inside, but the character on the outside was old and really great. Shower was amazing.

Loved it, Paula and Luisa made our stay perfect, thank you so much. Ideal location for walking over the 516 suspension bridge and the Paiva Boardwalk. The breakfast was super. Lazing by the pool is also great.

This place is a true gem - amazing. Nature, beautiful garden, a river just next to the house, silence. Also inside the house everything we needed - kitchen, beautiful fireplace, everything clean and cozy. We really enjoyed this wonderful place.

Great location for exploring hiking trails and hanging bridge nearby. Clean, comfortable, quiet and well maintained. Delicious welcome cake. Perfect value for money. We were lucky to be the only guests and had all the place for ourselves (normally guests of three different rooms share kitchen and living room). We had a very pleasant breakfast at the balcony with pleasant rural views.

    This is a very rural location offering a great driving...

    This is a very rural location offering a great driving experience across the area. Be prepared for hairpin bends and narrow roads. We were passing through Cabril for one night only so shopped in the local village supermarket at Mosteiro de Cabril for our evening meal provisions. We did not seek out places to eat but noticed a cafe/bar next to the supermarket plus one other as we entered this small village. Just 30 minutes drive away...don't miss a walk along the Arouca Suspension Bridge plus the 8km walk along a walkway which hugs the Paiva River. You must book in advance. Following your walk, Porto is just a 90minute drive away.
