We loved everything about this property! The lovely, friendly owners (and their dogs), the absolutely beautiful house and garden, and our very comfortable room (looking out over the garden). If I’m ever in the region again I’ll absolutely come back here and stay longer

Truly a 5-star hotel in the heart of Tondela. Excellent services all around! The rooms are spacious and quiet, the English-speaking staff is amazing, and the included breakfast is great, with options for all kinds of diets. Healthy healthy healthy!! I stayed at a couple of other nearby hotels that offered similar accommodations for the same price, but this one is much much better.

The hotel was very beautiful, equipped with all the appliances you can imagine. The rooms were clean and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen was also OK. We were waited with cookies and coffee which my colleagues appreciated very much. The price was also acceptable. The staff was great. We liked the parrots flying in the morning and we were also showed the little ones.

Having been slightly phased by the review mentioning mice and rat poison, we have decided to half our party as we were using the house to overnight before visiting Caramulo motor show. The house is old, but very well maintained. Antiques all over. Paradise for those looking for some old rural charm. Has a nice outside space - sitting and also a barbecue. Inside - not bad either. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen.

Really cosy place to stay. The village seemed almost derelict at first, but it was just a few buildings. It is on a hilltop, with fantastic views for 20-30 miles in all directions. The fire was lit in the living room when we arrived, They even had an honesty bar, we didn't need it, but it was appreciated.

The two sisters running the hotel were very welcoming, going out of their way to look after us. It was out of season and I think we were the only guests. Nevertheless they opened up the games/TV room in the annex for us and served us a wonderful 3 course dinner with wine and coffee for a very reasonable price (also providing vegetarian options for one of our party). The hotel is beautifully positioned by the river, in the centre of the village, with hot springs bubbling up in the public gardens opposite.

    A pleasant little mountain town, perfect if you want plenty...

    A pleasant little mountain town, perfect if you want plenty of rest and fresh air. Restaurants are scarce but good. For a bit of culture, you've got the amazing Caramulo Museum (focused mainly on automobiles but it also has an excellent art collection, containing art by some of the great masters, such as Picasso and Dali). Not a place for shopping sprees or for the night life.

    Caramulo is a great place to enjoy with a great past. The mountains welcome you. There are many trails and the landscape is beautiful. You may enjoy one of the best car museums in Europe. The food is great.

    Directly opposite the Museu de Caramulo this comfortable and clean resort hotel has every facility, friendly and attentive staff, an excellent buffet breakfast, and represents excellent value for money.

    It is a quiet beautiful place. The stuff is superb. There is a very good gym, a clean outside pool and an equally clean internal pool. The place is old, but it hits the best expensive hotels equally.
