We had car trouble and the owner of the Quinta, Phillipe, was gracious enough to pick us up and assist us with getting another car, dealing with the rental company, etc. The Quinta is beautiful, the accommodations lovely, and the food delicious. We hope to stay here again.

Very cosy and home feeling property. Well decorated and spacious, comfy beds. The back rooms have a wonderful view to the mountains. Breakfast was super nice and on top of all of this the staff was very kind and willing to help with my time in the town: what to see, where to eat etc.

Our family lived on the new wings with interconnecting rooms, overlooking the vineyard. Since we went at winter the low season, travellers aren’t many, so the place was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is great! Range of food selection is appropriate given the hotel size (about 40 rooms) and the quality is 5 star grade. The only place I can find a true type of croissant I used to eat but not those sticky one in the pastry shops. We had lunch at their pub serving light meals. Price is affordable at about 18 Euro per dish for pasta and meat sandwich respectively. Given the tranquility, the scenic maple tree under the winter sun, and the quality of food, I personally feel worth it. Dinner we ordered room service at about 30 Euro per dish as we wanted to rest at the cozy and comfortable rooms. Rooms are 5 star grade in terms of comfort level, though size isn’t big. Laying in the bed looking out to the green vineyard and hills, plus their complementary sweet Pacheca port wine is another unique and memorable experience. Staff are friendly and helpful too. Even there aren’t many guests, the hotel still put effort to decorate it for Christmas everywhere indoor and outdoor tastefully. Really appreciate!

A stunning location with beautiful views all around! The property is immaculately maintained, lovely tall cypress trees line the outdoor areas with views of the vineyards & river beyond. Very comfortable rooms, wonderful interiors. Many options for sitting outdoors, including a pool. The restaurant offers delicious breakfast and dinner, excellent service! We tried many of the wines both from Quinta Nova as well as the Dao winery - superb 👌

    Charming Douro waterfront village.

    Charming Douro waterfront village. The road to Covelinhas might be a bit of a challenge (6 km of winding, (very) narrow mountain road, starting at the Bagaúste dam), but scenery and overall ambiance more than make up for it. The road leading to Galafura (5 equally challenging km) arguably provides the best views over the valley.
