Curral das ferreiras is very quiet, peacefully and tourist friendly.Ideally if you want the quiet after a day from touring the Island . Definitely you need a car to travel to other places in the Island . We stayed there 3 nights of our holiday that was perfect.Guest review byJuvelinaGuernsey

A very nice and comfortable patio with shadow and sun and a plum tree (delicious fruits). Usually, it's a good location for hikes (in September 2024, three of four hiking routes were closed). But the bus 81 takes only 45 minutes to Funchal and from there a lot of activities can be done. That is all worth driving up there to Curral das Freiras every day (around 25 mins from Funchal). It is also fully equipped, there's probably anything you might need.
