The property was so close to everything but yet in a very private setting. the pool was amazing with loads of different area to sit whether it be in the grass under a tree or around the pool. the pool bar was lovely and Josue was so nice and couldn’t do enough for us. there was also a lovely pathway with fruit tress from pool to the beach . the beach was so big with a few restaurants with lovely food and beds with parasols to lay on by the sea. The hotel was spotless clean everywhere. the room was big and the bed was very large and comfortable. the balcony on the third floor where we were had amazing views . we had the best most relaxing Holiday we ever had. we were there the first week of October so it was very quite. you could also walk to the village of ferragudo which was a lovely fishing village with loads of delicious restaurants serving fresh fish. I would highly recommend this hotel

We felt pampered and at home at Vila Monte Luz. Sandra the caretaker welcomed us and made us feel at home. Maria was so nice to reply always so promptly with useful information for our stay! The kitchen was very clean and modern and heating was available in all rooms (we went in winter). Nice quiet location and a quick drive out if you wish for even more food options.

Very friendly helpful staff. The apartment is cleaned regularly. Well equipped kitchenette. Excellent location, shop next door, good cafe across the road. And beautiful beach and restaurants just a short walk away!!! Generally very nice!

    We have been to a number of places in the Algarve and love them all but Ferragudo and Casa Rio Vista trumps the lot. Beautiful apartment, warm welcome from our host Marco and friendly people in some excellent restaurants. Not to forget beautiful beaches. What more could we ask for? Hope to return again soon.     Wonderful and relaxing place to visit, but a car is a requirement! Will definitely return to Ferragudo! The Benagil grotto and dolphin boat tour is a must! Visit: Sagres, Selema, Burgau, Tavira, Monchique. A delightful server at Algar Seco made several culture and dining recommendations, including O Charneco - definitely dine here, but an Uber might work better if you are going to drink or the narrow roads make you nervous!

    Ferragudo is a little gem of a traditional fishing town. Backstreets with family run cafes, restaurants, bars but nothing too over crowded. The town square is the central hub day and night but quieter off street restaurants also available so best of both. The beach is wide, clean and interesting to watch the fishing boats coming and going.

    Ferragudo is a pretty fishing village on the Algave. It has 2 lovely beaches, the Praia Grande has a handful of bars and restaurants and sun loungers for hire but does not feel particularly crowded, its a great sandy beach for kids with safe, swimming water and pedalos for hire. The town has some lovely restaurants and is very pretty and typically Portuguese with winding streets and colourful houses. I would suggest its not ideal for parents with small children as there are a lot of steps which could be a challenge with a buggy.

    Ferragudo has retained its charm as a fishing village, despite being a popular destination for tourists. Views accross the bay are beautiful. There are several good restaurants to choose from, including the quayside fish -grilling ones, in addition to the option of dining in at Vitor's Village. There is a large and popular beach close to Ferragudo, (Praia Grande) in addition to smaller cove beaches a little further afield. There's a cliff walk of about 7Km along to the (larger) village of Carvoiero, which takes around 3 hours and involves some "scrambling" ; like a lot of the local coastal walks it's good to do "one way" and arrange a lift back!

    It was a good location - an easy walk to the beach and town centre where all the restaurants were located. There was free parking nearby on the street and in a parking lot across the street so we always had a place to park. Also, the reception staff were super friendly and helped us with tips about local places to visit. Ferragudo is also a very good location for visiting other places in the Algarve as it is right in the centre of the region - just over an hour to Sagres on the West coast, and Tavira on the East side.

    Everything was very new and spotlessly clean. The apartment was beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful extras like an iron and had a fully equipped kitchen with a small sunny terrace and a super comfortable bed. On top a bottle of wine. The hosts were incredibly kind and it’s right in the heart of Ferragudo. I will definetly come back again. Thanks Miriam & Filipe.

    Great touristic village for relaxing located in the beautiful spot of Ferragudo, at less than 10 minutes by car from Portimão and related "praias". Managed well, optimal service, beautiful location, and very quiet. Super relaxing. We enjoyed very much the swimming pool and appreciated the view.
