I loved the welcome, the family feeling. Right beside the railway station and looking over the river. The hotel and rooms were bigger than I expected and spotlessly clean. A great base for walking in the area and so comfortable. Breakfast was varied and the freshly scrambled eggs really tasty. The pool is lovely, quiet, just bird song. Just a diamond of a hotel, I have already been recommending it to people who are thinking of travelling in the area.

The wine tasting, the picnic near the river, the walk in the vineyards were awesome. The service in general was fantastic. Carlos told us so much valuable information about wines that was so interesting. The views were unbelievable. I liked also our room, its style, view, size, comfort, temperature - everything.

The Vintage House was in a great location on the river and walking distance to several wineries and restaurants in Pinhão. Parking at the hotel was easy and our room was very comfortable with a fantastic terrace. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace admiring the view of the vineyards and the river while eating.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Our room was lovely, and the staff were incredibly helpful. They assisted us with booking wine tours and even helped resolve an issue with our rental car since we don't speak Portuguese. Both the breakfast and dinner were delicious. While the location is a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of city nightlife, it's the perfect place to relax by the pool, enjoy a drink, and soak up the sun.

Luxery quinta, perfect into the details! A pitty that we booked just one night after completing Route N222. Hostess was very friendly, breakfast was good ! Kids did enjoy themselfs in the pool and at the billiard table. The beds are supreme! (Viscoflex) and guaranty you a good sleep.

This is a beautiful place with a wonderful owner. Imagine living right in the winery! With breathtaking views of the vineyards and the Douro River. Martin is a wonderful host, very friendly. He taught us how to play a new board game, it was a lot of fun! We had dinner together and in the morning we had a lovely breakfast with an abundant selection of different local products. Martin also gave us a tour of the vineyard and winery and we tasted the wine he makes himself (delicious!). It was an unforgettable experience, thank you!

    A charming tiny hamlet with three good restaurants and a winery. Two lovely small museums on the railway and surrounding area with some pleasant gentle walks. Even the station has a small museum of its own! Take the train to the end of the line as this is the most scenic section.

    There is absolutely nothing going on here, except when the train rolls in and brings some tourists. The town is very quiet and that’s spot on the best thing. There were a few restaurant options during the evening and most places offered a ton of food for a very low price.
