Delfim Douro Hotel was in one word Fantastic, even with a minor incident, what the staff directly and very professional corrected. The moment you walk in, the staff is there. With all the friendly help and the pre-checking was quickly. Everything was in my eyes perfect. We loved also that the hotel helped employees with a handicap, to see the Hotel is not afraid to have employee in a in the wheelchair, who solved our little problem with all the professionalism you can get. The restaurant was great, good food for a decent price, good variety wine and loved the desert, Florest chocolate, you have to try it. :-)

The hosts were amazing. We were offered cheese, quince and vino Verde on our arrival! The room itself was out of a novel ! The breakfast was the best we had in Portugal. With all of those, I forgot to mention the view!

Amazing comfortable room . Spotlessly clean Beautiful clean room and breakfast was delicious. Was such an amazing stay and would highly recommend this hotel . Very close to town so an easy walk . Parking was secure and e client for security.

    Nice and modern hotel with a relaxing atmosphere. Nice restaurant with a view on the hill. We also enjoyed the indoor heated pool. The hotel is located in an area of cheap apartment buildings and the surroundings are not enjoyable. Seen from the outside, the hotel is also ugly, except from the outside swimming pool area.

    Lamego was lovely.

    Lamego was lovely. Rooms, facilities and restaurant was excellent. No response to emails prior to arrival, and check in was difficult (we arrived late). Confirmation did not advise if the restaurant was going to be open. The dining room was open and the food and service was very good. It would have helped if we knew in advance the restaurant was going to be serving. Breakfast was excellent.

    The hotel facilities are amazing: great spa, great massage...

    The hotel facilities are amazing: great spa, great massage and a very nice pool. Definetly somewhere to stay for resting while enjoying the wineries and good food around. The restaurant in the hotel is also very good and the staff is one of the best i've seen in my whole life. Great people, great facilities and great food. Definetly recommend it.

    We had a two night stop just outside Lamego mid September,...

    We had a two night stop just outside Lamego mid September, perfect for us. There are enough things to see and do for this period of time including a museum. Unfortunately this was closed during our stay. Thursday appears to be a market day and pretty traditional. The highlight of this city is Santuario de Nossa Senhora dos Remedios. Get ready for some exercise!

    We have been travelling for many years and staying through booking.com. Our hosts Jorge and Isobel were simply wonderful and made our 4 day stay in the Douro valley just the best part of our trip. They were welcoming, generous and shared so much hospitality with us. We highly recommend Quinta do Apriceste to anyone travelling to the Douro to make the best of their holiday!

    We liked the location, Lamego is the best town in the area ideally situated to visit the Douro Valley by car. The hotel is well established, full of character and kept very clean. Eat at A Taberna in the town, good value for good food

    The artfully gorgeous renovated building is ideally located within the small town, a 5 min walk from everything that is a must see. The views of the city are magnificant, as well as the hosts that will do everything for you to feel welcomed. The breakfast is rich and so satisfying. We got here during a festival when the city was so vibrant and full of life and joy. We loved Portugal from our first visit, even more after this 6th trip.

    Its literally a HOME. And Cristina was such a nice host. There were welcome pastries and port! The place is in the middle of Lamego, and Lamego would be a great alternative to Porto to explore the Douro. I wish we had booked another day or more!
