Looking over the beautiful Douro valley, I proposed to my girlfriend (now fiancée) here and had the best stay experience I could have imagined!! We had the most amazing hosts and they helped me a lot with setting up our own little ceremony. They even helped book a photographer! The place was very neat and clean and had a very luxurious feel. The main pool was a great place to wind down and relax in the sun and the little pools facing the Douro were a nice touch too (the views everywhere are breathtaking). Strongly considering coming back here for future celebrations. Much love to the team of Quinta Casal da Silva 1951!! 🙏 PS. Breakfast was amazing!!!

Everything. The hosts were so nice, so welcoming. We travelled with both our kids and they were so flexible and nice to them. The pool is fantastic. The swing with a view also nice. The breakfast? Delicious. They served fruit from their own garden (we were there during the season for passion fruits, the kids ate them all) When we booked we found the price a bit on the high side, for sure given the location (a bit remote). But once you are there, you see it’s worth it. They are really such nice people

Excellent modern accommodation. Very clean, wonderful balcony views, great chance for relaxation at the pool. Breakfast excellent, home made pastries were a personal favourite. Owners on site, always wanting to help with drinks and recommendations. Restaurant and facilities 5-7 minutes away by car, beach a bit closer.

The house is beautiful, both inside and outside, located in a picturesque spot, with the perfect view, 5 mins walk downhill to a lovely beach by the river and a romantic coffee-bar. It was like a little heaven - a place you fantasize to be at. The owner was warm, helpful and friendly. We will defenetly be back one day! Wish it could be tomorrow :)

Luis and his wonderful wife couldn't do enough for us, the hotel is beautiful and the rooms are lovely and spacious. This establishment is family run, and Luis and his wife run it like a finely oiled machine! I would highly recommend this accommodation. Calm and relaxing. It's truly amazing!!! 10 stars ++++
