This place is super special. It is in a very rural area and I would recommend having a car. If you need endless entertainment, this is not the place for you. If you like to watch horses roam in an open field, eat delicious local food, enjoy great hospitality and wine...then this might be your jam.

Casa das Penhas Dourades is a beautiful property in a gorgeous mountainous setting. The food for breakfast and in the restaurant was exceptional. The staff was helpful, friendly and so accommodating. The surrounding area was wonderful for sightseeing and hiking. I would definitely recommend this property.

We had the top floor appartment with the french windows. The appartment is newly renovated and very clean and comfortable. Kitchen is well-equipped for cooking on the hob. It's a nice bright space. Bed is super comfortable, and hot water and wifi were both excellent. It'[s on a quiet lane located right in the centre of town. Highly recommended. .
