The best host I ever met. Puri is helpful and amazing host. (Thank you for everything - you are simply the best!) It is old house equipped with everything with pool and beautiful quite garden somewhere between hills with vineyards. If you have a car you can go around “miradouros” with unforgettable view on Tua and Douro river. We have everything for breakfasts on place.

We were three people staying in a triple room. It was clean and spacious with a bottle of water for each person. No coffee facilities in the room. The bathroom was spacious. Everything was as described on the amenities list. We drove by car and parking space was available infront of the hotel. We went for a walk along the river and was amazed by the amount of fish, birds and fruit trees that we saw along the river. There is a wonderful restaurant just next door. A very nice breakfast was included in the price.

I often had issues with soft beds, causing back pain. The beds here we're perfect. Its been a long time since I slept so well! And the personal was very helpful.

Would say a hidden gem! As it is new the price quality is amazing, the location is amazing, the rooms, swimming pool, everything! I think the prices are low because it is new, therefore if you want to have the best deal you should do it fast! (Honest feedback without that anyone asked for it!)

Quinta da Coitada is a beautiful, newly and tastefully furnished house surrounded by vineyard. The location of house is very peaceful and it is perfect for recreation. There is also a beautiful view of the Douro River valley from the house terrace. Paulo and his family are very kind hosts. Every morning, Paulo brought a rich breakfast to the house, which was very nice. They also gave you recommendations what to visit in Douro valley. Because Paulo is a winemaker, so you have a selection of excellent wines from him available in the house.

Luisa was incredible! We stayed 3 nights here and loved our time. It was relaxing and filled with making us feel at home! She provided us with a fridge full of food upon arrival and a small bottle of her own wine. Each morning she bought us fresh bread, cakes, eggs, juice etc which was such a nice touch! As we were heading out one morning she caught us and showed us the wine being made in the process which was fantastic to see! Always a text or call away and lots of recommendations and even offer to use the pool in her other property. We couldn’t recommend this place more - perfect location for a stay in the Douro Valley!

Very friendly welcome from Luisa. Some lovely local fruit and vegetables and other food given to us to use. The accommodation and the kitchen have everything one needs for an enjoyable stay. We also tasted local wine produced by the family which is of high quality. The surrounding area is beautiful for nature lovers and Alijo itself is an attractive and charming town. Difficult to fault anything at all. Thank you.
