The location of this hotel is spectacular, right between the historical River Douro and River Bestança, close to the incredible N-222 road. Had an amazing view from my room during my stay. As it was off season, the hotel was pretty empty, which was not a problem as I was able to get great breakfast and dinner in the property. There's free parking right next to the hotel. There are many small towns nearby to get supplies if needed and great opportunities for hiking and exploring.

The view is to die for,infinity pool soo beautiful just come here and have a beautiful chilled out time and don’t go anywhere until you leave, there is a restaurant down the road,breakfast is amazing looking at the view, the owner of the property is so nice and staff amazing too this place is very special 🥰

Cute, quaint bed and breakfast about an hour away from most local destinations (Passadicos do Paiva, Lamego, etc). The hospitality and friendliness of couple who run the bed and breakfast was great. I didn't speak much Portuguese and they didn't speak much English, but we muddled through. Breakfast was typical with meat/cheese/bread and homemade cakes. The room is quaint, clean, and spacious. The sheets were fleece and kept me nice and warm despite the chilly night. Parking is easy. Wifi was okay in certain parts of the room. There are several restaurants and a grocery store about 5 minutes drive away.

Existing 18th century Douro-manor house known as Casa da Lavandeira in Douro Valley area with a just opened contemporary expansion with spacious, luxury, independent suites in the concept of "contemporary treehouses" into the nature of the winery area. Great design, furniture, details, bathrooms. Nice staff. Clean. Large outdoor freeform natural swimming pool in the concept of a "lake". Nice indoor swimming pool also, next to a gym (spacious, with great view to the vineyards -a treadmill would be appreciated), sauna, Turkish bath and relaxation area. NIce outdoors spaces very well equipped. Beautiful walkway next to a small river for a short walk around the estate. Owner's amazing collection of old antiques cars, motor bikes etc on display. A scenic train ride that follows the banks of the River Douro is very much suggested.
