Take the train from Porto, relax and enjoy the view along the way. Pinhão is a laid back 'Village' in the stunningly beautiful Douro Valley. I have been before and it hasn't lost its charm. Douro Tour group was great.
Douro Tour group was great. Recommend the all day Douro Valley tour with boat ride, lunch, wine and port tastings, vineyard tours. It is an easy walk from Quinta Rosa to Pinhão. I loved the small town feeling but yet everything you need was right there - supermarket and a great variety of restaurants. Small town/village right on the river. See,s to be the go to destination for boats moving up and down the river. Great central location for vinyards and touring around. Everything went smoothly. The room had a River view and lovely shower with good smelling shampoos. The breakfast was amazing (we were the only guests at the hotel because on low season and we were served on table). The restaurants is of a very high quality. Wine tour with a reduced price for hotel guests. Walking distance to Pinhao village. We also took a 1,5h walk tour up to the wine hills with incredible views.
