The staff are well trained in hospitality. They go the extra mile with there clientele. They even remember your name. It is personalized service. Breakfast was quite good and gave many choices. The outdoor and heated indoor pool was very well kept as well. The Spa was also quite good. My room was also well kept. It was kept extremely clean in all areas. I would definitely go back and I highly recommend this Wyndham.

We had a truly lovely stay at Solar Mendonça. The location is excellent – right in the center of Faro, just a short walk from the ferry terminal, the bus station, and many great local restaurants and cafés. Despite being so central, the place is peaceful and feels like a calm retreat. The rooms were spotless and tastefully decorated, with very comfortable mattresses. We appreciated the extra pillows and blankets provided in the room. The bathroom was well-equipped, especially for female travelers – shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion were all available and of good quality. Communication with the hotel management was outstanding. Everything was prepared in advance – we received all the access codes for the building and the room ahead of time, and we each had two key cards, which was very convenient. There’s also a rooftop terrace where you can sunbathe or relax. Although we didn’t use it much because we were mostly at the beach, we noticed the hotel thoughtfully provides special towels for the sun loungers. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return. It’s a cozy, clean, and well-run place that feels like home in the heart of Faro.

    The best place!

    The best place! People in the area are so friendly, restaurants and beach bars are great and the sunsets are amazing! Area is good for walking, biking and driving around - you can also use Ubers! If you like to stay active like me, there's some great gym facilities that do classes and events.

    We have been visiting the area for many years and are always sad to leave. There is plenty to do and the weather is usually very good. It is clean and well kept, safe and easy to get around. The restaurants are reasonably priced considering the great locations and views and the menus suit a mixed party with lots of choices.

    What a beautifully managed area of Portugal .

    What a beautifully managed area of Portugal . Admittedly it does feel a little like you might be on the set of the Truman Show / Stepford Wives but when you are looking to escape for a week it feels like you are in a perfect bubble. On the flip side its not so great if you are looking for the real Portugal as the area is also full of people with second homes and the prices of everything from drinks to hotel rooms reflect this. However the area feels super safe to families as there are great beaches and activities which run along with the multitude of golf courses for the adults. You can pretty much cycle everywhere but also taxis are surprisingly cheap for the area and most hotels run shuttle buses to the beaches.

    Perfect accommodation, large terrace, beautiful kitchen with all appliances we needed. Good choice of restaurants in the area. Amazing holiday destination which we will definitely be returning. Only negative point was that there was not a suitcase stand as we do not like to place suitcases on bed when emptying. Beautiful, comfy large bed with large bathroom. Summary =the perfect holiday, thankyou Quinta do Lago Country Club.

    Not child/ family friendly. Outdoor pool freezing. Indoor pool reserved for adults only even though when we booked it had children’s times scheduled. Main reason we booked was for the indoor pool. Very isolated if you don’t have a car. Otherwise everything was as expected in a 5star hotel.

    Quiet mainly residential area.

    Quiet mainly residential area. Beautiful long sandy beaches Long board walks that connect beaches. Great walks and cycling in area A trip to Loulé is a must and Faro old town and beach is easily accessible. Great restaurants all along beach.

    For my short stay it suited me perfect & could not have been better. The staff are incredibly good, very professional & helpful. I left my iPad in my room after checkout but they kept it sake until I could get back later on. There is a very good restaurant & enjoyed both dinner & breakfast, which has a wide range of food available. Easy parking. Very safe & quiet. A perfect location for me as I was only there for a meeting at Quinta do Lago golf course.

    Fantastic value and location for Quinta do Lago golf. Everything you need for a golf trip, while not as luxurious as some of the other QDL options, Vilar do Golf is the best location for the North and South courses, Clubhouse, range and a few minutes to the restaurants in the evenings. It’s unbelievable value and super nice staff, best place for a golf trip.

    Stylish and spacious apartment in the heart of Quinta do Lago, perfect size for a couple. Quiet (at least in the winter season), close to the beach, shops, restaurants and golf. We stayed for a week, during which we also got a cleaning service. Comfy bed. NB: there is a EUR 200 cash deposit upon arrival which was later returned to us without issues.
