Our stay was truly amazing! The property is breathtakingly beautiful and offers everything you could wish for — from a stunning infinity pool with a gorgeous lounge area to stylish, spotless rooms. Breakfast was delicious and lovingly prepared by the wonderful hosts, who clearly put great care into every detail. We spent part of our honeymoon here, and this place will always hold a special place in our hearts. As a thoughtful gesture, we even received a homemade cake, which we enjoyed during breakfast. The location in the Portuguese ‘outback’ is perfect for stargazing at night, and it’s just a short drive to some truly breathtaking beaches. Free parking is available on-site, and late check-in and check-out was no problem at all. A magical place in every sense.

Part of me wants to keep this hidden gem a secret for my future visits... A gravel path winds up to the house, perched on a hilltop with sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. While I could praise the comfortable beds, spotless rooms, delicious breakfast and comprehensive amenities, what truly sets this guesthouse apart are its hosts, Koenraad and Kristoff. Their dedication to their guests is unparalleled. A word of advice for planning your trip to southern Portugal: while we initially booked for two nights, the magic of Monte da Silveira and its hosts compelled us to extend our stay to a full week.

It was a pleasure to meet the hosts and all their wonderful dogs and piggies. Each dog has its own story and character. They are really friendly once they get to know you and instantly aim to be cuddled. I find this place truly rewarding, calm, and peaceful!

It was the best hotel experience I have ever had! The room was modern and stylish, our windows looked at the farm, and we could see the donkeys from our place. The hotel exceeded our expectations: we had a more comfortable room than we ordered and a lavish bath! The hotel is dog friendly: dogs can come to the main building, walk the whole territory, lay over the tables during breakfast, and so on. It was amazing! The hotel owner (Pedro) invited us to have a dinner cooked by an ex-Michelin chef, and it was the best dinner I had had in Portugal! It was delicious! I'm more than 100% sure that we will come to this place many times in the future

Since it was out of season we were the only guests but they still treated us so well. It is such a peaceful and quiet area I am sure that even with other guests around it will still be a beautiful and peaceful area. Breakfast was fantastic great granola and yoghurt, great coffee, meats and cheeses, fruit and bread and croissants all that can be toasted or as is and chocolate cake to top it all off. There are 2 pools that even in Feb looked clean and very inviting. They upgraded us to an apartment room with separate living room and kitchen - lovely private terrace area with deck chairs. Public areas absolutely beautiful like sitting in your own home, gorgeous fireplace that we didnt light as it was only us but it felt like sitting in your own lounge room. Highly recommend this place it was just wonderful.

    Unfortunately, we only stayed 4 nights in this beautiful oasis of tranquility. Every last detail was perfect, the place is even nicer than on the pictures and we were welcomed and looked after with great hospitality. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the countryside. Located just a short drive from some of the nicest beaches in Portugal and also some great culinary offers in the near by towns and villages.

    Amazing hotel in a wonderful location. Fabulous huge room with separate bedroom, living room and kitchen, outdoor deck and seating. Staff were great, big shout out to Christina who was awesome. Everything about our stay was perfect. Highly recommend this hotel. Including the Farm to table delicious food.

    I feel so fortunate to have found this place - a highlight at the end of four weeks in Portugal! The location, the beautiful room, the amazing breakfast, the calming atmosphere. But above all, the kindness and generousity of Koenraad and Kristof made it truly exceptional!
