The two sisters running the hotel were very welcoming, going out of their way to look after us. It was out of season and I think we were the only guests. Nevertheless they opened up the games/TV room in the annex for us and served us a wonderful 3 course dinner with wine and coffee for a very reasonable price (also providing vegetarian options for one of our party). The hotel is beautifully positioned by the river, in the centre of the village, with hot springs bubbling up in the public gardens opposite.

The hotel is imponent, very beautiful and luxirious arquitecture. The balanced mixture of old elements, like wooden floor, enourmously high ceilings and arched glass doors, metallic pieces, with contemporary design. The old elements are very well taken care of. The location is great. Wonderful breakfast with great coffee. Extremely attentive and nice personnel at the restaurant. Very nice old school hospitality style.

It's a beautiful house in a magical location, after waking up we had the most dreamy mountain views from the balcony. The owner gave us tomatoes and lemons from her garden, and even though she didn't speak any English nor did we speak any Portuguese she was the most wonderful host. Everything was very clean. I would recommend this place a thousand times over, the value for money is unparalleled.

A beautiful casa with a large and beautiful garden! Around the house there are large and well-equipped rooms for the comfort of guests. For example: a room with classical music records, a room with a pool table, and more... We arrived to a warm and smiling welcome, we received assistance in every way, including a map of the area with recommendations and explanations of where to go and where to visit.
