The hotel was tryuly amazing. Our rooms were very spacious and we had a huge terrace. The hotel left us a welcoming platter of crackers, cheeses and meats and there were many free ameneties in the room (including a lovely pillow spray and sleeping mask). We really enjoyed staying there. Room service was very reasonably priced and the view in the breakfast room was amazing. Breakfast was very good too.

We haven’t had such an amazing stay in a very long time. The place is in a fantastic location, close to historic sites and the Christmas market. It’s also very pet-friendly. The host was incredible—right at the start, they brought us a delicious cake. Throughout the stay, they made sure we felt completely at home. And Charlie, the amazing dog—our little ones (we brought two dogs with us) seemed to fall in love with him. They had so much fun playing together. We will definitely visit again. What a fabulous find. We were greeted by Nuno who was incredibly helpful and informative even with advice planning our time in Sintra. The apartment was lovely with fabulous details and breakfast delicious. There was even a secluded little garden to relax in. Fabulous position to explore the town. Thank you so much

    Terrugem is a great base if you have a car, with Cascais...

    Terrugem is a great base if you have a car, with Cascais just 25 minutes away, Lisbon 30 minutes, and Sintra only 20 minutes. For those without a car, Bolt taxis are very affordable and easy to use. Nazaré is about 1.5 hours away, and on the way, it is well worth stopping at Óbidos, which is a beautiful historic town. A general note about Portugal: the people are very friendly and welcoming. Driving here was also a pleasure – roads were good, traffic was manageable, and drivers were respectful of the rules.

    Thank you to Katarina and her husband for the cosy accommodation! All the amenities are in the house. This is a great place for a quiet holiday. Nearby are the historical sites in Sintra, the Atlantic coast, great seafood restaurants. I recommend this place for an unforgettable holiday.
