Excellent and interesting, historical building. Staff were friendly and informative. Breakfast was very good. Free parking was an added bonus.

Was very positively impressed with Solar dos Frades. The room was wonderful modern and spacious, as was the bathroom. Inês the host was extremely helpful and available at any time, other staff also very nice. The outside pool and jacuzzi space is amazing, just sorry I hadnt more time to stay.

It was in a 200-year old upper-class house, where the Duke of Beja used to recide when in Cuba. A very nice couple had restored the house to modern needs, but kept some of the old furniture to keep the link to history. Fantastic!
