I don’t think I have ever given a 10. The hosts, exceptional, they went out of their way to help me which made my trip in the end. The access, easy access at anytime. Bus stop, location back to Horta right outside. Swimming pool and outdoor area to eat, sit. Beautiful walk to swim areas, supermarket/ cafe (was perfect for me but maybe a little remote for some without a car) Building was insanely beautiful. Everything I needed to cook, stay comfortable and enjoy my two sleeps. Quiet.

Great place to spend a few days for relaxing or doing some activities. Very close to the spectacular volcano Capelinhos and nice beach. The view is really astonishing especially when you are having your breakfast or dinner in the canopy in the garden or sitting on your terrace of your room. The owner, his wife and daughter were very helpful, friendly and what a delicious dinner they served to us on the 2nd evening. The owner is really a great cook and we told him he should do more with his talent😁. Everything was above our expectations and on Faial we think it's one of the best places to stay. With the car just 15m to the airport and about 25m to Horta.

The place has it all: a parking spot, location close to Faial and the airport, two bedrooms, spacious kitchen and even a place outside to have a grill. The best of it though is the host. She is very sweet, caring and she stays in touch with you throughout the stay so you feel taken care of.

Loved that the host provided some basic supplies - coffee, milk, fresh eggs, homemade jam, olive oil. The hot water was plentiful. It was great to have a washing machine. But the view is the best selling point!

We loved Varadouro.

We loved Varadouro. We stayed for 2 nights but could have stayed longer to relax by the pools and swimming inlet. These swimming areas are located amongst the volcanic rock and are just amazing. The area is very relaxing, the sea could be heard from our accommodation. We had a hire car, which is needed as the area is remote. There are a few restaurants and cafes nearby.
