The hotel is by far exceeding my expectation, and the best of all the accommodations I stayed during the trip. The room is great and the amenities are completing the stay. My biggest compliment goes to the staff (did not ask his name, though). Anyway, he spent his time not just explaining but showing everything (reception doors, room doors, parking, etc). Even help finding the parking spot just right in front of the hotel. Big thanks!!! And although the hotel is at the lower town, but the street and stairways to go up to the citadel is just right around the corner. To me, this is even better than stay in the upper town where we can't drive up, and dragging the luggage on the cobbler stone streets is just a nightmare.

The location is prefect, very convenient to all the sightseeing locations. And our room is on upper floor and it is super clean and tidy. We especially love the wooden furniture and the beautiful view of old town. The staff are very nice and helpful too. The boss also helped us to book a taxi back to train station (No Bolts and Uber service in Sighisoara). Simply tell your taxi driver to stop at the Covered Staircases, and the hotel is just right next to it.

I only stayed for one night, but I had a very pleasant stay and liked my second floor view on the back of the building. I specially want to thank the gentleman working in the restaurant. I was the last customer at the evening, got good and friendly service. I got up early and had my breakfast first thing they started serving - and there he was, same gentleman smiling and being friendly at the breakfast service :)

    Danes is a nice, quiet village.

    Danes is a nice, quiet village. For us it was excellent because we wanted to discover the fortified evangelical churches in the area (there's one in Danes too, but we found it closed and didn't had the chance to search for whoever has the key - there's nothing special, that's how it is most of the times). Overall I can't say Danes is amazing - the whole area is and would deserve more tourists.

    I certainly understand why the Bethlen family wants to...

    I certainly understand why the Bethlen family wants to preserve this little slice of heaven. It is slow moving with such nice people. We walked to the castle and there we met a student and a local who would have spoken to us as long as we'd wanted about the history of the area. I loved the pride of the people.
